Don't miss the 4th Annual HobbyPLEX Fall Oval Shootout November 16th-18th!!
Here is a link to the FLYER (http://www.hobbyplexraceway.com/events/07hfos.pdf)

We'll be running all the BRL classes and rules plus we are adding a 1/18th Stock Losi Mini-Slider class that should be a blast!! We must have at least six pre-entries for a class to be run. This mainly for the Open Mod and the Masters Truck class so we don't end up getting awards we don't need.

The race format is changing somewhat this year. Friday will once again be an open practice from 10am til 9pm, controlled if necessary. We will be running all qualifiers on Saturday and only mains on Sunday. Hopefully this will help everyone get on the road and home a bit sooner on Sunday. We will run three qualifying rounds for sure and possibly a fourth if we can start the round before 6pm. We will resort after each round.

We do have hotels listed on the flyer but there is a new hotel being built across the street from us and if it's going to be ready in time I'll get the info here to let you know.

Any questions or need more info, please let me know.

Just a little more than a month from the pre-entry deadline and our weekly racing gets started next weekend!! :woohoo:

Had a question today about race times. We will be using the BRL format so 4 minutes heats and lower mains and lap "A" mains. Need to test some software upgrades to make sure they do what I want them to do for the BRL Finals in April.

Any other questions, post, email or give me a call.

2 1/2 hour on Saturday morning, 7-9:30. Depending on time and entries, we may run a short practice session after the second round as well.

Less then a month away!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

Received a few more entries over the last week, I'll post a list this weekend of the pre-entries. If you are going to make the race but aren't able to register early, please post here or PM me what you will be running. This will give me an idea for class sizes and awards.

Two things I've had questions on.

I know that I have it on the entry form but, I don't believe we'll be running an Open Mod class for this event. If any racers are planning or want to run it, let me know. I've had some of our locals that want to run our PLEXCUP Stock class if we have enough entries so I'll add this class and drop the Open Mod.

Second, I've had a few guys that are running 17.5/LIPO in the 10.5 class weekly and would like to run in the Pro Modified 10.5 class. If we have enough to run a separate class that probably would be best to avoid any controversy but, if we only have a few, we'll probably have to run them together and see where it plays out. With the state of NiMHs right now, the LIPO looks to be the future and we just as well get a start on the changes. I think with 4 minute races for this event, as per the BRL rules, the 10.5/NiMH should have the upper hand.

Questions or comments?

Only a few weeks away!!!!!!!!!

I haven't gotten a whole bunch of pre-entries yet so I'm going to extend the deadline thru Saturday for those that would like to get a free event t-shirt. If you aren't able to pre-enter but are going to be racing, please post here or send me a PM so that I'll have an idea on number and classes.

Thanks,

Wish I could make it, I must attend our local race since I am an officer. Sounds like it will be lots of fun. I like the idea of running lipo's with the 4-cells.

Good luck to all.

Tim and Staff @ Hobbyplex

I would like to thank you all for the great time. I really enjoyed my self and will be planning a return trip in the feature.

I would also like to thank Team Losi for the donation of the Mini-Slider I won as a door prize. I’m going to enjoy trying that out at our home track in a couple weeks.

Congratulations to Nick Sackett and good luck at the BRL Race. It was nice meeting you and your dad. Also congratulations to Jason Klein on his wins in the 13.5 & 10.5.

Thanks again,
Mike Swenson
