I saw several 1/43 offerings at target by SCX. two different 2 lane track sets, some extra track, and even 2 packs of cars ($14.99). i forgot how expensive the tracks were, i want to say $70ish. they looked farily well made
nice to see slots in stores!

The Target near me does not have these....
I will wait. (I have a gift card to burn up...)

I had to do some searching to find them locally. Went to 3 different Targets and they all had the sets but only one had the twin pack of the cars.
FYI, the sets in all 3 targets were in the toy section but away from the usual Hot Wheels and other cars aisle. Might want to broaden your search in the store.
And the clerk had no idea they even had them, I had to find them on my own.

I found them near the R/C stuff.
Here's a picture of the SCX Compact 1/43rd Nascars I got.

my target had an F1 set for $89, and a sort of fast/furious set for $49. the car twin packs were $24, not the $15 i remembered

How are the chassis in these? Good runners?

I found a Carrera set pretty cheap at T R Us in stock car form last night but on closer inspection it was the battery operated version. I didn't know they made those low end sets?

You could switch out the batteries and use/wire in a power supply if needed. Worked great on one of the small sets I had for the kids to run on. :) rr
