The 1961 Imperial with it's 413 cu.in. V-8 and 10:1 compression gave it enough power to move this heavy car. The model is made by Brooklin.

I a big fan of the Imperial ~ nice one!
I'm just curious ~ it seems like Brooklin cars don't have any tampo work ~ why is that?
I suppose that's kind of a dumb question...

My Brooklin models are older models lummox. I quit buying Brooklins about 4 years ago. They are just too expensive to buy. No hobby stores in my area carry new Brooklin models, and the dealers at the toy shows that I attend either quit carring them or don't set-up at the toy shows that I attend.
My biggest grip was lack of detail of some of the chrome parts on a Brooklin model, when I could buy a JL car for about $3.00 at the time with detailing of many chrome parts.
Here's a pic that I borrowed of a 1954 Plymouth Belevedere Suburban wagon made by Brooklin. I believe it's a 2006 model. Notice the detail on the chrome parts.

Thanks!
Lummox, if you view my '49 Mercs thread you will see three 1949 Mercs. I have an extra cream '49 Merc that I bought at a hobby store years ago that has cracked paint on the body just waiting for someone with your customizing skills. It's lost in a box somewhere, but if I find it, would you consider doing the custom work for me? I'd like it painted BWF and bare metal foil put on the chrome. The car has 2 screws on the chassis, so no drilling is necessary.
