Found it today at Target. I seem to remember the Chevelle with flames tampo being a special insert or something. Any clues?

Yup, that's the "chase" car they released a few months ago.

In the series 000 JADA decided to do a chase piece. This is supposed to be one, not well publisied so they were found. There was never any info from JADA as to how many were produced though. I personanally have 2 and have seen a total of 10.

The gang at Jada made it pretty clear that this Chevelle WAS a chase car, here...

Man I have seen plenty of these in my area so i don't think it can be to limited --- I have a harder time finding other new releases --- such as the ice cream truck or the taco truck!!

The original release was orange with white stripes. Since this version seems to be in EVERY case I've seen, I'd call it a simple variation, not a chase.

Thanks for all of the help guys. I have seen many with the orange stripes but this is the only one I have seen with the flame tampos.

These were fairly common in my area, probably because they are the one brand of diecast that are regularly stocked. I bought one and left at least a dozen hanging.
