I love the race Semi! I'm a truck fanatic so I had to grab that one along with the Holden (the one i have is pretty beat up).
That is the Tyrone Malone Bandag Bandit. The similar Super Boss came in white. :)

No,
Mattel purchased Matchbox in November of 1996. The models pictured were made long before that time.

Is Lesney a britsh company?
"Lesney" was, and is, a British die casting company founded after WWII by Leslie Smith and Rodney Smith. This firm originated the Matchbox line of die cast vehicles in 1953, but sold the name 29 years later to Universal out of Hong Kong, and production moved to Macau.

The truck looks to be in great shape.
Nice finds for .25.

I would have thought that truck was a Fast 111's model. Kenner has a truck that looks just like it. I don't know which one was first or if they both were designed after real racing trucks back in the day.
