View Full Version : What is it??
ECchopper 08-12-2007, 10:31 AM Dave Anto gave me this car thinking it's a Firebird. We didn't think so, but he forced it on me anyway.... ;)

It says Kenner Prod on the base and Fast 111s, so that much we know, but is it supposed to be based on an actual car?
LIGHTNING44 08-12-2007, 01:22 PM I have no idea what kind of car that is:lol:
CenterShock 08-12-2007, 01:25 PM I see the fire but not the bird. Strange piece. It doesn't look like a Firebird to me.
JasonZ 08-12-2007, 01:53 PM ? Sunbird? Lol
97XR7 08-12-2007, 02:23 PM Firebird Funnycar or Fun 'E' Car
scrambler81 08-12-2007, 03:43 PM Maybe I'm crazy, but from the windshield back, it kind of reminds me of an old AMC Spirit.
dockchecker 08-12-2007, 04:30 PM it kind of looks like a 260-280 Z
JeepXJLover 08-12-2007, 05:11 PM I remember my sister's husband having some of those, they all had tail lights that looked like that, I have a couple somewhere with nearly the same tail lights.
DaleFan 08-12-2007, 07:06 PM maybe you could have someone in the Vermont DMV run that plate number to see who owns it and what the car really is
is there a year on the base ? maybe if we knew the approximate time frame it was released the type of car it might be will be revealed
Thomas Hint 08-12-2007, 07:07 PM It looks like to me a pinto funny car.
PONCHO455 08-12-2007, 07:26 PM I Collected Fast 111's When I Was A Kid.that Car Was Not Based On Any Specific Vehicle.they Had Many That Were Fantasy And A Few That Were Based On Real Cars.the 81 Turbo T/a Was One Of Them.this Car Is Just A Generic Funny Car.i Still Have All Of My Fast 111's Stored Away At My Dads,so Next Time I Think I Will Dig Them Up.

I like that answer.
You know anyone in the Vermont DMV?
The year stamped on the base is 1980
Thanks, Poncho. I think I'll go with your answer.
Floyds 08-12-2007, 08:18 PM That would be based on the Plymouth Arrow. A crappy little car that was a popular funny car body in the late seventies/early eighties.
DaleFan 08-12-2007, 10:47 PM it may be a PLymouth Arrow funny car. yeah like the guy before me said 2 hours ago.
JasonZ 08-12-2007, 11:00 PM nice funny car score!
dr.olds 08-13-2007, 07:14 AM does it have a v6 in it ,only 3 pipes on each side.
69Stang 08-13-2007, 08:29 AM Yep, Plymouth Arrow. Action made several older releases in that stype body.
And on a side note, nice to see you around Dr. Olds. Don't see you hanging out (or at least posting) as much as I would like. Hope all is well.
LIGHTNING44 08-13-2007, 09:27 AM you'd think with all these car lovers we would have figured it out a little sooner
ECchopper 08-13-2007, 10:01 AM does it have a v6 in it ,only 3 pipes on each side.
I didn't even notice that, but, yes. V6.
So, Plymouth Arrow? Really?
69Stang 08-13-2007, 10:14 AM Well, yes to the Arrow, but the 3 pipes each side was just a fluke. They were full blown Hemi based monsters just like today. I think the piping issue on this casting was just poor design work on the part of Kenner.
