Buzz is still going on about the racing, the excitment and winnings from this years event... the 'woulda, coulda, shoulda' from those who didn't win, and how they want to approach the 'NEXT' one.

With that - I've had some requests and/or inquirys about next years event and whether we'd be using the same type of entry qualifications to get in to the "BIG SHOW"

While it's still too early to even put a true plan on the table for the '08 **Allstar-Shootout**, some things have already changed by virture of this years event.

First - there were 21 drivers that were 'pre-qualified' for this event based on championships and wins. Only 14 were able to be there. Next year there will be at least those 21 drivers plus the class champions from THIS year, which there is a strong chance will be 3 BRAND NEW champions in '07, plus one repete champion. Add to that this years **Allstar-Shootout** Champion will most likely receive a gauranteed spot in the field as well. This could take us to 25 possible pre-qualified drivers, so we'll probably do something like open the top 12-14 positions (Since there was 14 this year) and require anyone else interested to run and transfer again from a LCQ.

In the event of a larger outside interest in '08, it's my thoughts if 2 LCQ's are required, we'd transfer a total of 6 racers, but only the TOP 3 from each LCQ, with each LCQ having the ability to run upto 20 cars. (That would open the SHOOTOUT to 20 cars from a possible 54 entries)

On a similar note - I've been asked about breaking the **Allstar Shootout** into the actual classes guys are running or were running when they won their events and/or championships.

Since this is the FIRST YEAR we've had the NOVAK 4300(10.5) class which is what we selected as the power plant for the Shootout, there is/was NO current or previous champion for this class. '08 may see the SWTour Series in a situation of mostly brushless based classes. Although that is not set in stone, things may be moving that direction. If this does happen, running upto 3 different **Allstar** classes may be something to consider for the '08 event, allowing drivers to actually compete in up to 2 of them.

These are just preliminary ideas...and the event is a LONG time off...

I hope we can generate the sponsor interest we had this year AND MORE to make the '08 **Allstar Shootout** an even bigger, more exciting event yet.
