robertwadehall 08-10-2007, 06:39 PM I like the Fury casting quite a bit, but in stock versions..that pink and green custom is hideous, looks like something for Barney the Dinosaur.. :)

Me I like the weird stuff I'll probably buy the tye dyed Chevy with the peace sign....I guess you had to be there in the 60s Peace Out Groovy Man...
STUTZ 08-10-2007, 07:22 PM I'm guessing you got them at TRU today WLRay. My wife just called me a short time ago telling me BJ 2 and MCG 4 were there. I miss everthing!
WLRay 08-10-2007, 08:30 PM Yep CIII today as a matter of fact all the TRU in western Pa. put them out today, and there were GMs in each store. I wonder who got the Green Machine at CIII???? I saw all the local morning sprinters so I did not stop in at opening. Target also got them in....
WLRay 08-10-2007, 11:04 PM Not too bad small paint chip...I guess QC let it slip by.
edseldave 08-11-2007, 03:12 AM Nothing at my local TRU or Target ...

I have to agree on this. The Fury looks great in stock form in both red and black. The 71 Chargers look great in purple and red, and the 66 Coronets look great in red and turquiose. The custom versions of these cars just look too overdone and the colors are a real turn off. The Chrysler 300 fares a little better on the custom front. Don't get me wrong, I hate the fact that all new 1:1 cars seem to be either black, white, red, or silver, which is pretty boring......I just think the color schemes on these customs are too far in the other direction. That said, I have got to give GL an A+ on the castings themselves. They just keep getting better with each new release.
moparmarc 08-20-2007, 01:18 PM I should be getting my sets soon, I saw a few last weekend, They look Great, But I also feel the customs just dont have the right appeal, at least for my tastes. When I think Custom, I think Foose style paintjob, hood, wheels, etc.
I will still def pick them up and enjoy them!
