After taking two and a half months off for a car accident my 4-lane oval Sequoia Speedway will reopen Seprember 1st for racing. A new sanctioning body is being created specifically for my oval and a banked tri-oval under construction. Currently only two classes of cars are being pitched; the Magna-Traction/X-Traction Eagle open wheeler and the new Thunderjet Late Model. Rules are being written in anticipation of an estimated 10-12 car field in both catagories.

The four principals in restarting this effort are A.J. Yates, James and David Hicks and myself. Each driver will be allowed to enter up to 3 cars each in each class and event. Already more than 12 Eagles have been prepared and 8 of the new T-Jet pavement modifieds are nearly ready. Car rentals will be available on race day.

The first race will be a 100 lap A feature in both classes with the time-tested program I have been using for more than 20 years. A 4 race series is planned for the reopening, depending on interest the Fall Series may be more races.

Anyone in the Fresno area is welcome to attend, as I said cars will be available for those interested in racing.
