Would you travel to Denver, PA to meet up with fellow diecast fans?
How about if it were in April? Most likely the weekend of April 12th.
If it was a bit far to travel would you stay over if we were meeting at a Holiday Inn?
What if the rooms were only $50.00 a night?
Would you enjoy racing cars down a gravity track?
Would you like to meet at a local club for an after hours party? It is only right down the street from the Holiday Inn.
What if there was a gravity track set up there and there were special "after hours attendees only" cars? (hmm. Black with....)

These are only questions. Myself and others from here in Central PA are thinking of putting something together here and we were wondering how many would be willing to nake the trek. Denver PA is right off the PA Turnpike and is easy to get to from north, south, east and west. I chose the Holiday Inn because of my connections there. I am looking into working out a deal on rooms so don't hod me to that rate. It may be more...or less.

Any feedback would be appreciated. We are not looking to gather up tons of door prizes or produce a lot of special event cars. We are just looking to set up a place for diehard diecast fans like ourselves to meet, chat, trade, buy, sell and race. We should be able to get at least 1 local vendor to set up here.

 reason enough for me not to show up.

Now, if your polite enough to hold a show in Denver Colorado,
I'd attend, no problem.
Just cant find any reason to venture east of the Black Hills.

I think it would be better to put on a show that is located more towards the center of the Continental 48 states.

Those out West wouldn't mind traveling 1600 miles but the 2300 to 3000 makes it a bit more difficult to attend.
Just my feeling on this.

I'm happy with the event being held in Denver, PA. I'm guessing it's a 5 1/2 drive for me. I live near Pittsburgh,PA. Driving 1600 miles wouldn't be very enjoyable for me, but I wouldn't have any trouble convincing my wife to go to Las Vegas, Nevada if there was a meet there. :p Of course I would fly to Vegas. Talk about a city that has entertainment! :hat:

A quick Mapquest says 488 miles. 8 hours.

When I was your age I took an Amtrack train trip from here in PA to Dallas TX to visit my aunt by myself. I even had a 6 hour layover in Chicago! That was a fun "mini" stop.

If a train trip is possible, I would be happy to pick you up at the train station here in Lancaster.

This would not be as major as Fest or anything. Just a bunch of diecast collectors getting together in one place.

Here is a great reason for an event to be formed here in PA. Check out all the dots! You can hardly see PA!
