M-40 Raceway in Gobles, MI has scheduled a money race on Saturday September 1st 2007!

We will race the following classes:
1/10 Scale Electro Buggy Stock
1/10 Scale Electro Buggy Mod
1/10 Scale Electro Stadium Truck Stock
1/10 Scale Electro Stadium Truck Mod
1/10 Scale Gas Stadium Truck
Monster Truck
1/8 Scale Buggy
1/8 Scale Truggy

We will hand out money prices for the winners. The amount will be based on the number of entries in the class. For a class to be eligable to complete, at least 5 entries are required in that class. If not enough entries are available, the class will be merged into another class, so you will at least get to race.

Since this will be our first race, we allow you to race what you bring!

The plan is to start the first heat races at 1 PM. The track will be open for practice Friday night. Camping is permitted on site, but with some restrictions:
* No noise after 9 PM (this includes running cars and generators)
* No open fires (grills are allowed)

More information will follow. Check either this thread or our website at http://www.m40raceway.com

$10 for the first class, $5 for each additional class for the race. Practice is $5.

I will have to check on the opening time on Saturday. I would think you should be able to start practice at 9 AM, but I will confirm.

No, at this point there is only 1 race scheduled, which is on September 1st. We will determine a date for the next race after Labor day weekend. We expect to have another race late September and possibly another one in October.

There will be limited power available. You should not need a generator, but it won't hurt if you do bring one.

The track is designed for 1/8th scale, but there have been a few mod trucks and buggies at practice in the last few weeks. Not sure what the turn out will be, as this will be our first race at the track. I would expect at least a few mod buggies and mod trucks.

We are trying to get in on the FTMS series. We'll be checking with MARS in the next month or so as well. Let's first make the race tomorrow a success! :-)

On behalf of M40 Raceway, I would like to apologize to those who came out for practice tonight. Someone offered us the free usage of a bob-cat at the last minute, which we gladly made use of to finish off some final changes to the track. The track is in great shape now and we are ready for the race tomorrow. Practice starts at 9 AM, the racing starts at 1 PM.

We had a great day of racing and I would like to thank everybody for coming out! We have learned a lot yesterday and we'll be even more prepared when the next race comes around. We are looking at having another race late September or early October. We'll post a poll on the M-40 Message Board soon.

The race results have been posted on the M-40 Website:

It was great having you at at the track! You showed some great racing! Hopefully you'll have some more luck next time and you should be able to pull off a win!

Thanks for your input last Saturday and we've already been discussing a electric only race for you guys!

We are planning on incorporating a little more 10th scale stuff in the track in the near future. Hopefully we'll have some of that in place if you do decide to come out this fall.
