just how much voltage will a mamba max controller handle. I the motor I have will handle what I want to dish out not a mamba motor but will the controler handle 4s or 5s.

It is commonly run with 4s and sometimes manages 5s. The recommended limit is 3s.

I have read the instructions and looked on castle's site I could find info for the motors but not the controler. glad to know that it will take 4s I was hoping to push it to 5s for short trips.

It depends on which model you have.

the max can handle up to 12 cells so multiply 12 by 1.2 volts and that there sir will be your answer

i love the mamba in my crawler the computer program for changing the settings makes it a very versatile speed control

the voltage would be around 14.4 volts max although the one in my boat i put 16.8 volts through all the time and havnt had one problem
