carnut2256 08-05-2007, 10:44 PM Well, up until tonight, the summer hasn't been much to write home about - other than us pulling off another great Johnny Jam - as it's been work, work, and more work.
Tonight, however, turned out to be prolly the most fun I've had other than Jam.
Got off the PT job at 5PM, told Lucy "let's jump in the car and head to Misquamicut Beach, have a cocktail and listen to some music!". We got as far as one of my favorite old waterfront haunts, the old "Hanson's Landing" (sorry J.G Goff's, we're still gonna use that name!). A neat little place right on the water, with a marina.
Lucy's niece was there with her husband and their twin boys, Mark Quinn - a local summer legend - was playing guitar, and his good bud (aka Lucy's older brother "Big Jim" whom we haven't seen in forever!) dropped in.
There were mudslides, and steamers (sorry, no "stuffie's" served here :( ) and Jim got Mark to do for me a kick-butt rendition of Stephen Stills' "Tree Top Flier" that would make Stills himself hand his head in shame!
We wound up with a table full of friends and a summer night on the water with good food, cold drinks, and great music. Rate tonight a 10

What kind of Capri? the newer "mazda" one, or the older "ford" one?
black sunshine 08-06-2007, 10:20 AM An 86. Similar to a Mustang. Right now it's got a 302 with a b-cam, 351w heads, a crazy stiff suspension, roll cage and giant wheels to help get a good footprint out there. I have a 347 aluminum head motor that was damaged by a hack "mechanic" so it's on the bench and waiting to get ripped down.
