Chris Bill Hall 08-04-2007, 11:07 PM Think there was some discussion about this in the AW forum somewhere. sethndaddy 08-05-2007, 12:26 AM red glass on xtractions, blue glass on tjets Dragula 08-05-2007, 01:11 AM Thanks for the tip! DRAGjet None of them... Remember, if something is sold as a collectible, it isn't.... (I wasn't much help, was I.... Sorry...) Scott sethndaddy 08-05-2007, 11:40 AM In the one case of XT's I bought, 50% had red glass. certain bodies with the red glass are harder then others too. but it seems all the master cases are weird. Autoworlds website says in a few months they will release the actual production numbers. Scafremon 08-05-2007, 02:51 PM Autoworlds website says in a few months they will release the actual production numbers. I can't see how a collector of 'rare' cars could even begin collecting until the production numbers are released. If the plan was that this would increase sales to collectors at release time, I think it is a poor concept. Willy Wonka got it right, and I think Tom got it wrong. Scafremon 08-05-2007, 03:45 PM After more thought, Willy Wonka was not a good analogy, because although Charlie and the others knew what was rare, they were buying candy bars without knowing if they were purchasing a gold ticket, except of course for the gold ticket that was sold on the 'bay, where the seller prematurely posted postive feedback on the transaction, only to receive negative feedback from Veruca Salt after the blueberry incident. I just laugh at the whole chase car idea. These are slot cars not postage stamps. Why would anyone need to have them all. I just buy the ones I like. Usually 2 or 3 from each release. I am glad Tom decided to produce these cars again, don't get me wrong, I just don't get the I have to have them all mentality. Dave. twolff 08-05-2007, 08:09 PM An AW that runs properly out of the box seems pretty rare??? Yeah, I'll go with that, one that runs outta the box. :) Truth be told Chris, I've only tried two of the lighted Magnatractraction chassis that I got from you and both of them hand any JL or AW Xtraction I've got its butt. Only one Xtraction chassis out of two + cases even comes close. The AW Ford GT kicks with a lighted Magnatraction under it. SplitPoster 08-05-2007, 08:51 PM And if you want a special production run of extra rare cars, I'll bet you can pony up some $$$ and they'll run some off for you! sethndaddy 08-05-2007, 10:48 PM The rare ones are the ones you don't have, I guess. I use them for mailing letters, lol. Reminds me of die-cast Hot Wheel variation frenzy. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
