View Full Version : How about an Aurora '41 Lincoln build off ?
1scalevolvo 08-01-2007, 11:28 PM If I was not so busy I would organize one myself !
Bill Hall 08-03-2007, 04:33 AM Heck Neal! No takers? I'll build one anyway dagnabit!
No way to come in second in a one man contest...or is there?
joez870 08-03-2007, 07:12 AM One -man contest? no way. You would have to beat the Lincoln king hiself! besides...I think I have one...somewhere.....Hmmmmm.......
wheelszk 08-03-2007, 09:06 AM I can't even win one on the bay, and you guys want to cut them up. whats up with that?

Words to live by Mic!
LOL! Not to worry Bill (wheelszk). As luck would have it I just happened to have a tan Lincoln thats pretty stinkin'. The skirts were hacked out, a grand canyon crack across the Rr fender and some one forgot to loosen the lugs on the spare before they pryed it off! A prime candidate for some model murdering and a new life. Re-incarnation is the mantra here. I'll spend $300 worth of time/materials on a $5 turd for a $50 car. snicker
I would love to styrene spray some Lincolns as they were only offered in a Martha Stewart colors. Mmmmmm standard green, or blue for starters and a nice olive one for a period/vintage color... but like you I find nice ones hard to come by and rarely see them in junk lots for donor purposes.
Like Joe and Neal said, plenty of repops available.
wheelszk 08-03-2007, 04:52 PM I know, don't get me wrong,I think you guys do great work. I wish I could do those things. I loved the willys build off, but to cut up a good Lincoln just doesn't seem right. As far as 3rs go, it's not a real one(Aurora).
SplitPoster 08-03-2007, 05:53 PM Well, I sent my one and only stepped-on Lincoln off (to Sethdaddy) some time ago, destined to be a Frankenmobile, and my one nice example is displayed with RRR chrome on it. HTF indeed - I love the car and the idea, but it would have to be repop, wouldn't it?

How about a scratch built contest
1) any chassis
2) any type of body
3) any body making material
Rules:
1) Must be something unique, unlike any mass produced slot cars made by any company.
ZIG

How about any Lincoln that was originally a legit mass produced HO slotcar manufactured in the '60's- '70 's ? That would cover about both Lincolns.
