I am wondering if there is a corect way to install the gasket on our plugs, one side of the gasket seems to be thicker than the other which way goes to the plug. One side looks like it will compress more than the other...

48 looks and no one has an answer?. You need to look at a new gasket, one side is much thicker and will do the crushing while the other side looks the same after it has been used where must be a proper way to install this. Any ideas???...

Thank you for writing ACDelco, Mr. Dygon.

We appreciate your e-mail regarding the installation of a spark plug gasket. The directions for the gasket is as follows:

∙ Place the smaller side down, toward the engine

∙ The bigger side (wider layer) faces up toward the plug

I emailed AC Delco and this is the responce I recieved so I thought I would share it with everyone!!!...
Notice the respect from ACDelco, "Mr. Dygon" Just thought I would point that out to all of the MPR regulars...
