And in what will be a surprise to fans of his old Tomorrow show, it was luekemia and not lung cancer. I used to love his show back in the ol' pre-cable/pre-VCR days, it used to literally be the only thing worth watching after midnight back then.
Nice to hear Tom was a fan of Dan Ackroyd's dead-on impersonation of Snyder's distinctive hosting style.

I still remember the music he used as his closing.. It was from a group called Stuff. Johnny Carson from 11:30pm and Tom from 1-2 am. I used to be doing all my accounting homework then.

I watched the show often also. As a big Beatles fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the show John Lennon appeared on. It was great seeing it released on home video later.

Loved that show back in the day. A friend of mine recently gave me a DVD he made of the early 70's show which had Harlan Ellison, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan and Walter Koenig. What a hoot!
Tom had a unique style that was truly endearing. I liked the feeling that they were isolated in a studio late at night with only him and a couple tech guys. It seemed so loose and free with little-to-no real production value. It was a fun show and I'm saddened by Tom's passing.
