BDDelbert2 07-31-2007, 02:01 PM
Great to hear you are on the Hooters Tour again this year Freddie. Since the first race is at your track and it's on Oct 20, maybe we can run the big, black bowl! Still nice weather, usually, and give the Hooters Tour runners alittle something different to race on. Maybe even make it a Halloween race. Costumes, candy and all! Just an idea.
Thanks,
Dale
Freddie's Hobbies 07-31-2007, 02:37 PM I am game, it would all be up to Shawn and the weather
jbm38 07-31-2007, 10:05 PM Is there a website where the HOOTER chassis can be viewed??
JeffPatch29 08-01-2007, 08:36 AM Hooter Chassis actually manufactures R/C Pulling Tractor Chassis. The owner, Glen Singleton, also races Pan Cars and EDM's, and was one of the people who originally started the series. Here's the link to the tour website, and the hobbyshop website.

jbm38 08-04-2007, 10:14 PM Thanks Jeff, Cool looking pullers.
Naz53 08-07-2007, 06:46 PM Jeff,
Thanks for jumping in to cover me, sorry guys got busy & went on vacation. Glen's Pulling Chassis's & the Bodies the person who does his bodies (forgive if I'm wrong I think it's Darren) are some very sweet rides.
Just as note we did have inquiries from some new tracks & we appreciate them, based on a questionaire we did during last season from the main group who ran the Tour & supported it we went with the same tracks as last year giving the two newest tracks each a second date.
We would like to thank everyone for your support & Look forward to an exciting new season coming up!
Thanks
Shaun N.
forza_27 09-16-2007, 06:49 PM I plan on running the whole Tour this year. Coming off of Buddy's and my commanding domination at Freddie's Labor Day weekend. ;-) Dragged the '05 Silva from the pasture, dusted it off, and will have my old pal Dean Swanson driving it all winter. Dean raced back in the late '80s and early '90s when we were in HS, and he's a hell of a wheel man. Look for him to be up there. Hope to see everyone this winter. Gem City starts this Tuesday already! Can't wait!!!
forza_27 09-16-2007, 06:58 PM btw....just added some new photos of the cars I ran this summer to My Gallery, so check 'em out.

Lohrr1 09-18-2007, 09:48 PM For the EDM class this year, what are the rules . . . 6 cell stock motor, 19 turn, brushless???
Rick
Naz53 09-19-2007, 08:02 AM Rick,
Hello, the EDM class will be 6-cell stock this year. The bodies must be the taller (big block modified style) no E-mod style bodies. Thanks & look forward to seeing you guys on the tour this year.
Shaun N.
JeffPatch29 09-19-2007, 09:13 AM Shaun, need class rules on web site for newbies to the tour.
Bob
Naz53 09-19-2007, 10:59 AM Hi everyone,
The site should be updated with all the class rules later tonight & should be ongoing now that summer is winding down myself & Kevin who is doing our website will have more time to get in touch with each other. Thanks guys & he'll have a great site for us this year!
Later - Shaun N.
forza_27 09-22-2007, 10:08 AM Shaun, I've run the Tour many several times the past two years. Mainly at Craft World, Glen's, and Gem City. But this year I plan on making every race.
JeffPatch29 09-22-2007, 10:24 AM Brandon, if you're going to Freddies, I suggest you not stay overnite. I heard some bad stories about you when you were at the Worlds. lol
Bob
forza_27 09-22-2007, 06:09 PM It all started when Allan said, "Hey, do you like vodka?" ;-) I was definitely R.I.P.ped that night. lol. I added a couple pics of the KSG and Silva with the "official" Hooter Tour paint scheme. Don't worry, Shaun, I'll cut those spoilers down. lol. 3/4" high from the deck lid, right?
Naz53 09-23-2007, 10:49 AM Looks Sweet! Glad to see you guys running this year! I have to cut my new down also keep forgetting the little build in spoiler on bodies now. I was so used to protoforms with out them.
See ya all soon, the website has been updated with all the rules for all classes!
Later - Shaun N.
JeffPatch29 09-24-2007, 02:06 PM Shaun, is the new protoform truck going to be legal when it comes out? Also McAllister #245 Chevy.
Thanks, Bob
Naz53 09-24-2007, 04:23 PM Bob,
Yes they would /will be legal also, I'll see if I can get that noted added on the sight but any new full covered truck bodies should be no problem. thanks!
Later - Shaun
JeffPatch29 09-25-2007, 11:42 AM Shaun, Dave Ward and I have been talking a little bit lately, mostly about the new track that is going to be opening in Corry this fall. We were thinking about having an exhibition event there, maybe make it an All Star Race like the BRL is doing. Let me know when you have some time and Dave or I can give you a call and get your thoughts, later!
Naz53 09-25-2007, 01:38 PM Bob,
Sounds OK to me, I'm sure something could get set up. I'm usually settled in after 9:00pm every night at home. Have the boys football practice till 7:30 so it's a little hetic from when we first get home & they get cleaned up, eat & in bed, so after 9:00 is usually better.
Later - Shaun
Carpet Assasin 09-25-2007, 09:50 PM Hey guys,
Ok few question:
Can you practice the day before the race or is it a one day deal?
How many racers do you get on average night?
Thanks,
Mario
JeffPatch29 09-26-2007, 07:32 AM Mario, normally they are just one day deals, not a super long day either. (2) heats and a main. 4 Cell stock normally pulls 30 or so guys, which isn't bad considering today's big race turnouts. Freddies might be a little lower, since that is the farthest track away from the majority of the guys that run the tour, but the Jamestown races always have a good turnout, and the Bulldog races always have a good turn out. I think Shaun can get on here and back me up on this, but I am pretty sure average turnout is around 30.
really fred 09-26-2007, 09:47 AM normally they are just one day deals, not a super long day either. (2) heats and a main.
I wonder if Bob and Jeff Patch remember the 2-17 Jamestown race.
The race started at 4pm and got done around 2:30am Sunday morning, I would say this was A SUPER LONG DAY
matt_s86 09-26-2007, 10:49 AM I didn't get home 'til 4 one night there...something like 24 heats. (x 2 rounds + mains). Maybe you guys could talk with Greg about not running so many classes on nights when there's a tour race?
I'm new to 1/10 pancar this year. If i show up at one of your races without already having been registered with the tour, can I still race? I'm asking because I'll probably only make it to the ones at Craft World and Racer's Edge.
Matt
JeffPatch29 09-26-2007, 11:58 AM Yeah Billy, I remember it well. It took me 10 minutes to get home. lol. I also remember all of the nights of getting home from B&S at 3:30/4:00 in the morning. By the way, I heard you are a rebel now. Are you racing down there or are you just kicked back eating grits three times a day. LOVE THEM GRITS !!!
Matt- If you want to run any of the tour races there is a one time entry fee of $10.00. Racing at Craft World will be starting at 1:00 this year and there will not be twenty different classes. No more five classes of trucks, three mini Ts, three edms, etc. Classes have not been finalized yet, but there will definitely be less.
Bob Patch
really fred 09-26-2007, 12:10 PM Yeah Billy, I remember it well.
Bob Patch
yes bob i am a rebel now lol, no grits yet though
like matt, i got home around 4 am that night
good luck to you and all the hooters chassis tour drivers this yr
and say hi to bob grant and glen singleton for me, if you hit 'em, tell them it's from billy, especially glen lol
Naz53 09-26-2007, 02:23 PM Mario,
Bob hit it about right with the turn out, it does vary race to race. As for practice, all the races are one day deals. We have it so the tracks open by 10:00am - 10:30am (some / most open earlier depending on the own policies) for practicing - note this is usually not controlled per say, it's open for everyone.
This year all races will now start at 1:00pm. We have also asked that the Tour classes run there Mains first before others - heats will be inter-mixed.
Billy,
How are you? I also heard you were enjoying nicer weather year round now also & saw your car in pic thread. Will you be up this way at all anymore, would be great to maybe see you at one of the races? I remember the Craft World night also, this is why we have made it that they all start at 1:00 & the mains for the Tour classes run first. Hoefully this will get everyone who travels a chance to get back on the road earlier & home at nicer times.
Matt,
You can run as many events as you wish, all you have to do is pay the one time registration fee of $10.00 (at the first event you run at) if just 4 Cell, just a note each class does require a seperate registration fee. This means say if you also want to run the EDM class that is a second $10.00 for a total of $20.00. Just wanted to make sure that was clear so there were no surprises. Look forward to meeting you at the races!
Thanks Guys!
Shaun N.

forza_27 10-04-2007, 07:01 PM I'd love to see the looks on Bob's and Jeff's faces when I tell them I liked the Silva better than the KSG when I ran at Harbor Creek Tuesday night! lol
JeffPatch29 10-05-2007, 07:59 AM for a Skull like you I'd believe it. That was probably BD special build, which a 4 year old with terettes (SP?) could Drive!!!! LOL. Brandon, I got some trick up my sleve for you guys this summer. Buddy isn't sure if he is going to Freddies yet, if you want you can ride with my dad and I.
JeffPatch29 10-05-2007, 09:23 AM Brandon, bringing the RIP ride out of retirement, and the old guy will have new glasses so he can see again. You guys are in so much trouble. lol
Bob
forza_27 10-05-2007, 06:46 PM Nope, Jeffy, all I got from Bud was the chassis plate and slider....the rest is all from the old 10L4. Thanks for the confidence though...lol I think my old Round Tracker is around here somewhere ;-)
forza_27 10-07-2007, 06:36 PM And I believe this is the same "skull" that outqualified a certain Jeffrey Patch at Bergman Park...hmm. lol ;-) Where can I see a photo of the Protoform truck body y' all are talking about. I decided to run the Silva in the Spec Truck class with the Tour.

Carpet Assasin 10-10-2007, 12:35 AM Is the outlaw race on the 20th, cause that is a Saturday? I thought Freddie ran the oval on Sunday?
Naz53 10-10-2007, 08:05 AM Hello guys,
Just to clarify the Hooter Race is on Saturday the 20th. All of the Hooter races are on Saturdays. We ask each track to open no later than 10-10:30 time frame (most open much earlier however). I am not sure what time Freddie will actually open / how early. The Hooter races are also scheduled to start at 1:00 usually also. Hope this helps out & look forward to seeing everyone here shortly! Thanks!
Shaun N.

forza_27 10-11-2007, 08:52 AM Thanks Carpy...any idea on when they'll be out for sale? I remember Ziggy had the Chargers at Craft World when they first came out...but you couldn't find them for sale for several months after that. I'm already picturing the car and truck....light blue and white....#27....Unicef decals...just need to work on the French-Canadian accent. LOL
JeffPatch29 10-11-2007, 09:54 AM Brandon, Lefthander RC has them in stock.
Bob
forza_27 10-11-2007, 09:54 AM Never mind...I just ordered one from Lefthander.
forza_27 10-11-2007, 10:11 AM Did so before Patchinator replied...lol
