Yup it's finally here, the original series in all 20 episodes, actually 40 being two were on each one, they were around 10 minutes a peice.. What an awesome series for the mid 60s,talk about true Saturday morning retro!!,that space race at the time sure came up with a lot of creative space ships and creatures.. It's actually labelled SPACE GHOST AND DINO BOY. Dino Boy was a tune in between the two space ghost cartoons per episode. Sort of a weak cartoon in my opinion (dino boy) I remember that being Frankenstein JR. But it must have been a late release when Dino boy was replaced with that.Anyway it is out there the original way it was shown,or close to it in a great print!!. Space Ghost rules!!! It runs around $20.I got mine from Amazon

I vaguely remember Dino boy, but weren't Space Ghost and The Herculoids teamed up together as one show back when dinosaurs ruled the earth?

^^I always associated the two shows for some reason, myself.

I do know that there was a cartoon special where they were in the same episode together.

be sure you watch the tribute to Alex Toth on the SG 2nd disk

a fascinating study on artistic genius that shows that it is not all puppies and butterflies.

Seems like SG featured Dinoboy in one season and FranKy Jr. in another. Perhaps Birdman was in the mix there somewhere too?

I don't recall them teaming up in the same episode, but I would almost swear there was something like a Space Ghost/Herculoids hour back when I was a kid in the sixties. Maybe the shows were just scheduled one after another in a lot of markets?

I saw this at work on display on the shelf and I'm itching to see it again. I know it'll be different seeing it through an adult's eyes, but I just have to tosee how it holds up.

I remember the couple of Space Ghost colouring books I had as a kid in the '60s. I'm damned if I know what happened to them, though.

I had those coloring books as a kid, too.

I always thought it was mean to have a coloring book where the main character was mostly white. If you only had a basic set, you didn't get a white crayon.

the black parts were usually filled in with the printing. that left a little bit of skin on his chin to color and the red and yellow bits.

most of the book was spent coloring in the backgrounds.

and the kids.

Tell me something, why did Blip wear a mask? Jan and Jase, I can maybe understand, but a monkey who was afraid someone would recognize him? :freak:

A more basic question is why did any of them wear masks since they wore them all the time. What benefit did it provide them?
