With spec racing today. In short drivers do not feel that all of the spec packs are the same. Without opening that can. I was kicking around a idea we may try at out local track to see if it would be fun or not. I am thinking of a race were there are two new hand out spec packs and one motor. The motors would be ran with the stock brushes and springs. Drivers could get there packs days before the race, because a spec pack needs to have 3 cycles before it's useable. This way all spec packs are from the same batch. All motors in the ball park. Sure there are guys that will still be very fast, but I think it would be a new challange for everyone.

Body : Truck
Motor : Trinity Spec 21 turn
Battery : 4 or 6 cell Trinity spec packs

back in the early 90s trinity put on a race at k@n that was hand out motor and battery.. there was a pro class and a sportsman class (unsponcerd drivers)..

now mind you this was way way long ago back in the red cell 1200 mah days but when you walk in the door you got 12 unmatched cell out of a case and a motor... it was tons of fun back in the day
