That's a 1000% improvement over the stock rims and tires. Great Job:thumbsup: Thats the way that car should look like

Boy THAT looks awesome!! Since it has a screwed chassis all the more easy to do.

If MM would have had the rims and tires....I would have asked for them but this is an easy custom for everyone!

Cool. What are the donor wheels from? A RC Pro Stocker or something?

I agree, can you shed some light on the rubber. I don't care if they roll or not. This looks great for display.

OK ernneal, good eyes! The wheels and tires are from the RC2/Racing Champions NHRA Pro Stock. These were the ones sold at WM last year around $4 or $5 bucks each.

And you are also correct Mark, With the screw on base, it is an easy conversion. I did not want to damage the car (my other half of the pair is still in the blister) or make a mod that could not be returned to the stock, so in the case of this example, the front wheels are in the stock location and do roll. The rear tires would have required drilling and tubing the plastic rear, so it is setting on the axle in the rear. The tires are pushed up into the rear wells to get the look and rake just right.

Glad you guys like it.

Here's a thought......buy another FC Vega and tub THAT base. That way it will roll and you still have a stock base to replace it in the future back to stock if you want. I think that's what I'll do......or try!:p
