View Full Version : Simpson's Movie Limits
phrankenstign 07-27-2007, 10:59 PM Evidently, there didn't seem to be very many. Pot shots were taken at all kinds of subjects. Politics....Church....Environmental Issues......Want to see yellow male genitalia?
This film has it all. If you've been a fan of the series, this movie plays like an extra-long, special episode such as one of the many Halloween Tree House of Horror shows.
I took my kids, aged 18, 14, and 12. Everyone said they liked it, and I'm fairly certain I'll buy the DVD when it comes out.
fernieo 07-28-2007, 12:19 AM Loved it! Though it was a little odd when the audience began to sing the Spider-Pig theme along w/ Homer.
TAY666 07-28-2007, 08:30 AM I haven't seen the movie yet, but that would have been cool!
My daughter and I have that song stuck in our heads from the commercials.
Have for weeks now.
jage1966 07-30-2007, 01:25 AM I saw it on Sunday and so far, it's my favorite movie of the year. It was laugh-out-loud funny (unlike many of the episodes from the past few years.) If it was an episode on TV, it would rank among my all-time favorites. To see them do things and say things they could never get away with on TV was hysterical. I'm looking forward to the DVD, as well. I hear a lot of scenes ended up on the cutting room floor.

The producers alluded to that in an interview in USA Today.

were you in the same audience as me?
That was really strange the crowd sang at the show I saw, too. That's when you know the marketing is working!

We were singing in Gulfport, MS too. How could we not?
It's got a good beat and a catchy tune!
Roland 08-07-2007, 07:38 AM How many people watched the credits and saw Maggie speak her first word?
Spoiler below:
------------------
Warning, spoiler follows....
Maggie's first word was "Sequel" as voiced by Elizabeth Taylor.
phrankenstign 08-07-2007, 09:01 AM I think that was actually her second word. I believe she spoke her first word (using Elizabeth Taylor's voice) a few years ago in a TV episode.
veedubb67 08-07-2007, 12:50 PM Maggie's first word spoken in the series occurred in "Lisa's First Word", when she was voiced by Elizabeth Taylor and says "Daddy" in an empty room.
sbaxter 08-07-2007, 03:38 PM Is it, in fact, Taylor's voice in the film?
