I feel really lucky to have found this Jada Bigtime Muscle 85 IROCK Z/28 Camaro... It is 1/24 scale but it is the coolest casting of any diecast company out there... JL may run a close 2nd with their 1/64 castings, but this one is down~right awesome... It has a realistic size tires and wheels on it, I just don't like alot of the Jada cars with the over-size wheels...
This one even has removable T-Tops...
As a Ford man, I got to admit I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the Camaros... They run good and look good too... Besides the 69 Z/28, this is one of my favorite body styles...

Awesome, gotta look for one! How much did you get it for and where?

It's a nice effort with the T-Tops, but I don't like the BTM look personally with those drag strip rims and tires, and IROCs didn't have the gray trim along the bottom only regular Z28s did, so I would have to leave it behind. Now if another company could do that with the correct rims and paint attributes, I'd be ALL over that in a minute.

That's nothing a customizer couldn't do.

Well being too lazy to customize, I'd need it to be exact out of the box. :D

Still, changing the tires and rims shouldn't be a big deal, but for crying out loud look at a freaking picture and get the color scheme correct.

I got that 1. They also have a blue and silver one in 1:24 that looks like the same one thats out in 1:64 now.
I understand your frustration Mike.If you gonna put IROC down the side at least get the paint job rite. The Camaros that actually raced in the IROC series were all 1 color with sponcer decals all over them, not 2 toned like a standard Z-28.

For what it's worth,
A rare few Irocs DID make it out of the factory 2 toned. I've only ever seen 2. A yellow one with silver ground effects and black with grey like the one in the pics above. The blue with the silver ground effects combo I mentioned on the other Camaro thats out is actually a Pontiac Firebird color combo from the 80's.
There was never any blue with silver ground effects Camaros just like there was never any Firebird/Trans Am's that were black with silver ground effects.Black with gold yes but not black with silver.
I appreciate this casting from JADA cause it's an often overlooked Camaro generation and it has a TPI motor in it. Our only other choice is the 1:64's JL puts out but there an 84 bodystyle that they passed off as Iroc's as well as various Camaros and Z-28's from the early to late 80's but carbed or TBI, no Tuned Port.I just wish JADA would of used a Z-28/Iroc grill with fog lights insted of a RS/Base model grill.

Yeah. I got that one 2 weeks ago too! I got it at Wal-Mart for (I think) 14.00$ Good find, my friend almost lost one of the T-Tops though. They are VERY hard to keep track of.

I got one of these as soon as I saw them. Since it's a custom, the inaccurate details don't bother me at all - but as FastC6Vette said, about 2 minutes with some non-acetone nail polish remover can clean off those markings easily enough.

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse, but I'd really like to see them made like this.....

They changed the box. That one was out a year or so ago but in a maroon box.

Yeah, it was cheaper then, too. Either way it's a nice kit (and well worth the current price).
