Yes, the DAF truck is orignated in the late '60-s. This example is from the early '70's, my guess would be 1972.
Majorette used those RW's on all their trucks until that time.
@Tomymania: WOW!!! wonderful collection! I do not collect the VW vans in particular, but some do end up in my collection. Another favorite (also pictured by you) is the orange van (3rd picture) with the highway sign on the sides.
@maxciim: nice collectoin! There are many variations of that casting. The version I showed is a Globe Toys casting, which used the old Majorette molds. The Globe version did not use chrome, it is kinda cool with the white parts! I also have the original Majorette version with boat on trailer, which is actually a survivor from my childhood.

Wow, great collection guys. I grew up mostly with Majorette and MatchBox, so it's great to re-discover some childhood stuff! :p

Very nice. I have a question for all of you. I am a new member. I collect mainly matchbox and hot wheels but there is one majorette I would love to obtain again. I have a large vw collection and when I was a kid in the 70's I had a vw van that had the opening door in the back and it was hot pink in color. Over time I lost that car and I would love to get another one preferably in mint condition. I have searched eBay and have not seen one. Do any of you have one or know where I may get one?

Best bet is to try the French ebay, there are plenty of Majorettes. Although the language might be a problem.
A pink VW Van? Was it a promo?

I think it was just a regular boxed majorette. My Mom or Dad got it for me when I was a kid so it is hard remembering details 30 years back. Of all my former die cast cars that I had as a child, this one is proving to be the hardest to replace. It was bright, almost hot pink in color. It looks very similar to the orange colored ones in these pictures. When you are a kid you don't think you have something valuable, you just play with it. Ha! Thanks for responding.
