Thought I'd post the most recent pic of the ENCINO VELODROME from about a week ago - right after mowing the lawn, and edging...

This is where the SWTour Series will be holding our 1st ever **ALLSTAR SHOOTOUT** this coming weekend...with a 20 car field (if all works out)
This track is only a short velo, compared to the Major Taylor track in INDY - we're only 250 meters vs. their 333. This track is still over 800 ft. in the groove, but with the Brushless Motors - this thing is starting to race like a SHORT TRACK. (Low 8 second lap times in Modified)

Scot will be coming - as with you guys...one of these days I'd love to do the Mid-West Swing....and get to INDY
...but with me puttin on the events out here...and right now I'm getting involved with a group of LOCALS to get local racing up and running - long distance..isnt in my future.
Hopefully Scot will be able to rip up the track though...he had a strong solid run in our **Allstar Shootout** last weekend, shaking down his BRAND NEW (TOP SECRET) car.
That thing looks AWESOME - and I believe he finished 5th in the BIG RACE. (20 cars on our SHORT VELO...INSANE~)

I have to say - as the race director - these guys did an AWESOME JOB running with 20 cars on the track... There were some really bad wrecks, but equally some INCREDIBLE racing.
From a proud dad's perspective, my 15 year old son was able to qualify for this event in the 5th spot (5th of 20 cars) A crash in the 1st of 2 segments side lined him in that portion of the race, but worse put him in the 16th starting spot for the 2nd segment. He was able to RACE his way to a 7th place finish, and was the first car 1 lap down. GOOD JOB SON~
