My son and I are looking for easy to do body conversions for some variety on our T-Jet chassis. I've seen some Lindberg Mini Lindy bodies that look promising - are any of these bodies bolt-on ready? Any other shells that make for easy conversion out there?

Most of the Johnny Lightning and Auto World ThunderJet 500 bodies fit the T-Jet chassis. Some better than others. The Screw-on bodies from the pull-back chassis cars fit too. A lot cheaper than trying to track down 40-year-old plastic and a lot less stressful to run with the kids.
There's a bunch of resin T-Jet bodies available too. What body types are you after?

I was looking at trucks and fire engines Lindberg made when I started the thread. I also like oddball cars like AMC's, as well as bodies that Aurora and the current manufacturers haven't gotten around to yet. My son is really careful regarding the cars he has, so I'm not really concerned that he'll roughhouse with them.
Many convience stores and gift shops have these key chains with a diecast car that fit a tjet chassis. I remember seeing VW bugs and PT Cruisers. They were a buck apiece. The front screw post fit perfectly.

I've done a few Mini-Lindys and even a couple Hot Wheels that were cast in plastic.
