Tried going to K&N's site, but it's giving me "bad host name" and not pulling it up.

Does anyone have the entire rules package for the SK Modifieds?

Also, I'm understanding from reading here that there's two chassis for this class...is that correct? The Rolls-Kanardly and a Beefy? But, again from what I'm reading, the Beefy car has a t-plate, shock, and adjustable front end?

Thanks...

Check out the RSE chassis as well. I own one and it is the best car I've ever driven, bar none. Rick has a full line of cars, parts and conversion kits in stock and ready to ship.Team RSE (http://www.rspeedengineering.com/)

SKOR

S/K Oval Racers

An organization designed to promote radio controlled s/k racing through guidelines. Spec racing is designed to be fun and inexpensive; it is our goal to encourage that by establishing a universal class of s/k race cars. We have made a concession to allow for a higher end of racing in the 19 turn class.

General rules:

Cars must weigh a minimum of 2.30lb., race ready with transponder.
Maximum width front and rear may not exceed 8.25”. This will be measured from the outside widest point of the wheels, or tires.
Wheel base must be between 9.5” and 10.5”, measured from the center of the front axle to the center of the rear axle.
The chassis must remain under the body, from the firewall to the rear bumper.
A spoiler may be added to the rear of the body. It must be no larger than 1.5” high and 4” wide. The spoiler must be centered with the body.
Front bumpers may not extend more than 11/2” forward of the body, and may not be wider than 3”. Bumpers must be centered with the chassis.
Rear bumpers and nerf-wings must remain under the body. They must also be smooth and secure.
All tires and wheels must be 1/10 scale only.
“Spec center dampeners” must be used. This means rod with tubing.
A “center shock” or “side shock” may not be added to any car.
No more than one dampening tube may be used on any one car, and must be used to dampen side to side only.
Qualifying heats will be 4 minutes and main events will be at the discretion of the race director.

Approval process for new s/k cars, and bodies:

The item must be submitted for examination in a complete car form. No electronics are necessary.
The car will be examined by SKOR officials, and approved or denied on an individual basis.
It will be evaluated on many different criteria, including but not limited to the following guidelines:
-Does the car represent a spec s/k race car?

-Does the car have an obvious advantage over all other s/k race cars currently approved?

-Is it a copy of an s/k race car already in production?

-Are the components used on the car readily available, or able to be made readily available at the time of production?

SKOR reserves the right to approve or deny any submitted product for any reason, and guarantees to disclose the reason to the manufacturer. SKOR will not sanction copies of bodies or cars and will not be responsible for the actions of any manufacturer doing so.

Approved chassis:

-Original XCaliber (BEEFY) - approved for all s/k classes-

-RKR solid chassis (on-road and oval versions) –approved for all s/k classes-

-KSK –approved for all s/k classes-

-KSKT –approved for 19turn and pro s/k classes only-

-Beefy Avenger & Grim Reaper–approved for 19 turn and pro s/k classes only-

-DARN chassis – approved for all s/k classes-

-RSE chassis – approved for 19 turn and s/k pro classes only-

Chassis rules:

Chassis must be approved by SKOR prior to racing.
Stock mounting locations must be used for all components.
The rear portion of the chassis may be ground away to allow for spur gear/tire clearance. No other cutting or grinding of chassis is allowed.
Two holes may be drilled for steering servo mounts and a bumper, Antenna (only if no servo holes, antenna hole or bumper holes are available from manufacturer); no other holes may be drilled.
No slider chassis allowed.
No front end locator style front ends are allowed.
Approved bodies:

-All Bolink Legends

-Wind Tunnel WT2095

-Beefy Products S/K body

Body rules:

Bodies must be approved by SKOR prior to racing.
All windows must remain intact.
Wheel wells must be cut lower than rear window lines.
The rear portion of the body must remain intact. Both upper and lower rear bumper lines must be left in the body,
Steering servo and servo saver must remain under the body.
All bodies must have three numbers on them. One on the roof and one on each side. (door area under front side windows)
Bodies should be painted to represent racing vehicles.

The above rules will apply to all S/K Classes

Sportsman Klass rules:

Motors:

Motors must be sealed end bell 540 sized motor. Traxxas Stinger, Tamiya RS-540 sport tuned (black can), or Trinity 21 turn spec. (motor selection will be at the discretion of the race director).

If racing 6 cell class – A 1900mah Piranha (Duratrax) pack must be used.

Original shrink wrap must be intact with no signs of tampering.
Connectors must be used to hook up battery. (original connectors may be changed)

All motors must be R.O.A.R legal 27 turn, 24 degree locked timing stock motors.
F brushes must be used.
Batteries:

Batteries must be R.O.A.R legal, or approved for use by SKOR officials.
No more than 4 cells will be allowed.
No connectors are required.

19 Turn Class rules:

Motors:

All motors must be 19 turn, machine wound, 24 degree locked timing motors.
Batteries:

1. Same as Pro Class.

SKOR reserves the right to change rules at any time due to a gross need or change in supplier needs. New rules or changes will be posted promptly. Rules will not be changed with less than a week’s notice of a major event. Other than that the rules stand for an entire race season (1 year)

I hope this helps
