I recently bought a Hpi Wheely King I used it a couple of times but its getting a bit old now so i was going to put a new motor in. Im kinda new when it comes to the upgrading part and iv heard of people putting in 19T motor's in and they say it works pretty well but in the book it says not to put anything lower than a 20T in is this something i should be worried about or not?? any help would be grate Thanks

it probably says that because the speedo cannot handle any more than a 20 turn motor, but i have had speedos listed as 20 turns and ran 19 turns on em for years. you may have to change pinion gears too, to make up for the "more power"

You could go to a Novak brushless system. You could run a bigger pinion mybe 2 or 3 teeth higher than normal. Or switch to a bigger battery such as a 4200mah 6cell or the new 5000mah 6cell stick pack from Venom. I would also say if your running the tamiya connectors go to a Deans or Traxxas connector. They will allow you to get more power to the ESC then to the motor. You can put a novak 4300 or 5800 system.
You can get a XBR 5800 or 4300 novak system for 180.00 but then you will need a bigger battery.

grab the january issue of R/C Drive and see what they did to the HPI WK kind of neat. all i'll say is 150 foot free fall and survived.
