hey new to the forum there is a lot of great stuff on here. i searched for my problem but found nothing so i will ask. i have a b&s 18 hp the piston skirt broke off and locked up the motor. when i was digging out the busted parts i found what looks like a counter wieght after looking at a lot of web sights i found it goes on the back of the cam gear ? the part the holds it on is broke off i cant see what its for or what it does do i need to replace this or can i leave it out?

all right went to the lawn mower place today and yes i need that part it a psi relive thing and you have to buy the whole cam $35.00
