It sounds like the RC world may a more precise servo on the Horizon. I found a post on a helicopter site that has 3 new brushless servos. 2 of them can be used for cars/trucks. The 351 and 451. Case size on these are 1.6 X.8 X1.5. A little larger than we are used to but it seems that it may work our way soon. 190oz and 111 oz a a little torquey. .16 sec/60 for the 351 and .11 sec/60 for the 451. About $100-$125 each. I couldn't find any weights on either of these.

Maybe the amp draw will drop and help out the 4 cell classes to drop the receiver pack. Who knows.

There's a little advertisment in the Sept. issue of RC Driver, page 27. They give no specs there but probably can check them out on their website.

Well I posted this question on general discussion and got no one to answer me, what is the difference between the digital servo with a coreless motor and the digital servo with a brushless motor? I have several 9650s and they are very good for the $, also the way the coreless motor is explained it sounds like a brushless motor only a different name.

The way I understand it that a coreless is very similar to a brushless due to fact the magnet is in the middle and the windings are on the outside of the can. Brushes are still used on coreless motors. I'm not a motor expert and no I didn't stay a Holiday Inn last night LOL.
