Time is getting close for our upcoming **ALLSTAR SHOOTOUT** at the Encino Velodrome.

Again, as has been mentioned this is a 20 car race made up of 2 segments. The first segment will be a 20 lap SPRINT and the final segment will go a full 30 laps.

The 20 cars will be powered by NOVAK 10.5 (4300) Motors - in which the current 5 minute track record is a 29/5:00.66 held by Scot Petitclerc.

This event is being called our **ALLSTAR** event because it will be made up of the drivers who have won a championship during the first 6 years of our series and/or event winners so far in '07. Any unfilled spots in the 20 car field will be filled by drivers competing in a Last Chance race (if there are enough to warrant that type of race) othewise the spots will simply be filled.

Thanks to ALL of the Companies who have committed to support this event...

Less than a week it will be OVER~

What's at stake?

There are prizes and awards for MORE than just the winners...

there are small trophies for upto 20 cars in the shootout...plus a large Trophy for the winner of segment 1 and segment 2. (CRUD - I just realized that if the same person wins both of those...I'm ONE trophy SHORT, so we BETTER have 2 different winners.)

I don't have a complete list yet, but I'm working on the complete list of PRIZES...but I can tell you right NOW the WINNER of Segment 2 - the Finale will receive

NOVAK

1 - GTB Spread Spectrum ESC retail $325.00

and MORE to COME, but lets do a running total so far...it is in excess of $1123.00 in Cash and Prizes to the WINNER.

The 1st segment winner will also receive

1 GTB Spread Spectrum ESC, Hat and Battery Tray.
1 JPH Gift Cert. for $25.00
1 PRS Gear Set
1 from DBAnderson $50.00 CASH + merchandise
and more...that should put winning the 1st segment really close to being worth $500.00 in Cash and Prizes.

PLUS it DOES look like we'll have additional Cash and Prizes to the overall top 3 to 5 finishers in the FINAL segment...totalling an additional approximate $500.00.

2nd and 3rd place in the over all will receive

KIMBROUGH a $30.00 Gift Cert
DARKSIDE a $33.00 Gift Cert for WING, MOUNT and WING Buttons.
NOVAK - SINTERED ROTOR $37.95

ALL of the 20 drivers in the shootout will also receive a 2 year ONLINE Subscription to Xtreme R/C Car Magazine ($50.00 value), 5 pairs of FINISHLINE "F" Brushes, and MORE including a prize package from DBAnderson Technologies...

DONNY ANDERSON's DBAnderson Technologies is a Major Sponsor for this race, and he is working on a great package for ALL the racers...and he is putting a lot of time and effort into this event to showcase his machined products. THANK YOU DONNY

OMG - WOW - HOLY CRAP - and KAZAM~~~

That's the early report from this weekends **ALLSTAR SHOOTOUT**

(not sure why I wanted so bad to see 20 cars run at MACH2 speeds on a HIGH BANKED VELODROME - but I can tell you - it was one of THE MOST EXCITING things I've ever watched...) Exciting - SCARY - and as expected had plenty of cars that now have a ZERO DOLLAR VALUE except as SCRAP~

I can tell you - the results were NOT what some expected - and might have been what a few others DID expect.

TOP QUALIFIER - ERIC BRUST over ERIK STEENHOVEN
20 LAP (Segment One) ERIK STEENHOVEN over ERIC BRUST
30 LAP (Segment Two) ERIC BRUST over ERIK STEENHOVEN

These two drivers split the BIG CASH and PRIZES with BRUST Taking home $400.00 in CASH ($50 for TQ from ME SWTOUR) ($100.00 from Papa Lou @A-MAIN TIRES)($200.00 from Donny Anderson - DBAnderson Technologies) ($50.00 from ME - SWTOUR)

Steeenhoven took his $100.00 CASH prize (from DBAnderson Technologies) for his win in the 1st Segment - along with his Prize Package.

2nd and 3rd place in the final segment, along with thier prize package also received $50.00 and $25.00 CASH (from ME SWTOUR)

TOTAL Cash, Prizes, Trophies, etc...came in at over $3000.00 (RETAIL) for this event...and NON of this would have been possible w/o the help of the companies who were willing to help us with this event...and for that I have to say with the deepest regard THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT...and I Can't wait to get NEXT YEARS **Allstar Event** Planned

One of the expected Front Runners - was able to WIN the FIRST Segment

Erik Steenhoven probably hasn't driven a VELODROME since about the 1997 NORRCA Nat's (which I believe he won)

But he didn't look like he'd forgotten a thing about driving on this type of track - SMOOTH - CALM and COLLECTED~
