View Full Version : Production totals for BJAB Rel 2 & PCG Rel 2?
Chunkamunk04 07-16-2007, 09:45 PM Anyone know the production totals for these 2 series? Barrett-Jackson Auction Block Series 2 and Pace Car Garage Series 2 (The newest releases). Is it 10,000? I have some cars in my set that have #s in the 8 and 9 thousands. I also have some in the 100's too. One that's 061 (Green Wheels too). :)
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
69Stang 07-16-2007, 10:46 PM I was just wondering that myself. I received my BJ set today, and was a little disappointed at the high production numbers ( But like you said...How High?) and that half of mine have NO number on the base at all!
I do like the numbers, so a little bumed on that. But even with what looks to be a 10K run, and no numbers on mine at all, I still love the set! Great work.
summitdrinker 07-16-2007, 11:16 PM well my barret jackson AAR Cuda doesn't have a number on the base at all, my red boss 429 has number 9433
the auction block ribbon under the car is upside down on the AAR also
it looks like they did great job on the Cuda diecast thou
I have 4 of the new pace cars, all have numbers on them, all from numbered 3879 to 4943
Milezone 07-16-2007, 11:22 PM Looks like from the numbers shown, thy are around 10K. But let's see what the Greenlight folks say.

plankowner 07-17-2007, 06:17 AM Please tell me Greenlight is not going away from the serializing. It's one of the important aspects to collecting these cars for me.

I have to agree. The castings are great, but it's the attention to the detail ( such as the numbers) that make the process complete. Like I said, 4 of mine have NO number at all!
GREENLIGHT 07-17-2007, 09:24 AM Hi Everyone -
No worries...all of the BJAB - Series 2 cars are in deed serialized. However, due to lack of room on two of the car bases (the 1961 Corvette Convertible and the 1970 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda), we had to move the serialization to another location on the car. Has anyone found the new location?

I kinda figured, without opening the car... I'm guessing under the hood? :)
summitdrinker 07-17-2007, 02:07 PM I set my AAR cuda free, the number is on the under side of the engine hood

Thanks Katie. Back to my original question though. Do we have a TOTAL production # for these 2 series? I agree with everyone else here, I love both of these series quite a bit. Looks like I'll have to set a Cuda and a Corvette free. ;)

Nice! I didn't think of that. My hearty thanks to Greenlight for not taking away one of my favorite details on the cars. Thanks Katie!

Same for me as well! Thank you for the anwser.
Drdealone 07-18-2007, 05:08 AM So if the run is 10K for Pace Cars that means 200 GM's for each car in the set.Hopefully that will put the Pace Car Garage GM's in the $30 range. They are in the $60 range at present but have just started to hit. Time will tell on this one.
Regards, DrDeal
Chunkamunk04 07-18-2007, 12:41 PM 200 is still VERY RARE in my opinion. 200 Worldwide........... think about it. :)
Still looking for an ACTUAL production # for both series? ANYONE? KATIE? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez. Oh Katieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Mikietom 07-19-2007, 01:16 PM Thanks Katie. When you can please verify the Corvette release though. Russell said the production run was 10,000. I hope your post numbers are correct @ 5,000
Mike
GREENLIGHT 07-19-2007, 04:37 PM Hi Mike,
That was a typo, Russell has fixed it. I triple checked with production and there are only 5,000 each in Corvette Collection - Series 2.
Thanks! Katie@GREENLIGHT
Mikietom 07-19-2007, 05:16 PM Thanks Katie - the GL team is terrific.
