Im looking to get a new RC truck for running around outside. i had a tmaxx 2.5r witha 3.3 motor in it, and i really liked that truck, but it was used and abused by the previous owner, so i sold it and am looking to get something for about the same price as a new 3.3 tmaxx ($460) that will hold up to bashing and snow ( i live in south western michigan).
any advice?

If you are good with the Nitro vehicles you can't go wrong with any Traxxas BIG truck you choose.
The other options are the HPI Savage and Monster GT.
Best bang for the buck in Nitro or Electric is the Traxxax E/T Maxx in my opinion.
The new 3.3 is awesome as far ast the performance goes and you can't beat Traxxas customer service.
As far as the snow goes.. No matter what vehicle you have you need to protect the electronics. The Nitro is harder to get running in the cold. With an Emaxx you just plug in and GO!

i got a heated garage i can get it started in, so that isnt a problem really. as far the tmaxx goes, i was wondering the difference between that and the revo was. besides the different suspension styles, is there a difference in over all driveability?

The Revo suspension is more plush than the T Maxx. It is definitely a different experience driving the Revo than then T Maxx. The REVO is a more race bred suspension but still great for bashing. Both are screaming fast and fun. Apples and oranges kind of thing.

alright so the tmaxx would be better for me, seeing as racing them is not my thing.
so now the better of the two between the savage and the tmaxx. the savage has a bigger motor which would e more fun, but it seems like that would have trouble keeping the frond end down without the wheelie bar.

well it looks like ill be going with a savage. after some reading around in alot of forums, it looks like the savage is a much better basher, which is what i wanted a truck for.

You couldn't go wrong with either one.
Great vehicles very well designed and great factory and aftermarket support for both!!
HAVE FUN!!
