View Full Version : List some cars that you like to see in european diecast cars in 1/60-1/64
ilikecolllectdi 07-15-2007, 05:55 PM Hi, This thread is some kind similar to the Motromax Fresh cherries list of 5 cars that you like to see. This time is about the european brands, specially like Norev in 1/64, of some cars that you like to see in the 1/60-1/64 size
My suggestion for start are:
Norev:
-Peugeot 204
-Citroen LN
-Peugeot 304
-Renault 10
-Simca 1000
-Simca 1300
-Renault 8
-Fiat 600
-Fiat 850
-Fiat 1100
-Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan 1955-65
Hping your comments about this thread, thanks
Superbird77 07-16-2007, 04:07 AM It would be really cool to see someone (Kyosho, Cm's...?) make some really rare cars. What do you think, is there a die-cast market for these beauties or are they just too odd and unknown?
Koenig Competition Evolution (only 25 built, 1000 hp!, top speed: 230mph)

ilikecolllectdi 07-19-2007, 10:33 PM Ok, other ideas, more close to the reality ( and nostalgy) that could be from Norev, Grell or even Kyosho

Hoping you like it, see you
ilikecolllectdi 07-24-2007, 10:25 PM Now italians cars that I like to see in 1/60 - 1/64 ( and normal cars, not exotics supercars that have done thousands times by all the diecast cars brands!!!)

ilikecolllectdi 08-05-2007, 07:53 PM Now I like to suggest about a brand, Vanguards, who make several british cars in 1/43 and I really like to see in 1/64, and that cars now to UK likes are:

1968 Morris 1100
1969 Reliant Scimitar GTE
1969 Austin Maxi
1969 Triumph 2500
ilikecolllectdi 10-08-2007, 12:52 AM I like to suggest (and also observed) that Norev didn´t made 3 inch cars from 1985 to 2000, so, if that brand are making almost all the french brand new cars since 2001, I like to sugest Norev to make the french cars of the 1985-2000 period, and my choices are
1987 Citroen AX
1991 Citroen ZX
1993 Citroen ZX break
1993 Citroen Xantia
1996 Citroen Saxo
1998 Citroen Xsara 5 dr
1986 Peugeot 309
1987 Peugeot 405 break
1991 Peugeot 106
1993 Peugeot 306
1997 Peugeot 406 break
1999 Peugeot 607
1986 Renault 21
1988 Renault 19 5 dr
1989 Renault 19 Chamade
1994 Renault Laguna
1996 Renault Laguna break
1996 Renault Mégane 5 dr
1997 Renault Mégane classic
1998 Renault Clio II
I think this is a good idea :) , observing that Norev made the succesors of that cars
hoping your comments about this
have a nice day :)
Henri Kroeze 10-08-2007, 11:19 AM As I like your idea, it is very, very unlikely Norev will do 'obsolete' cars.
Norev is only creating cars that are ordered by their respectible creators, so if Citroën releases a new model, Norev is asked to make a 3 Inch version of that.
Norev will not make cars by own initiative and I don't think the brands will like cars that are 10 -15 years old to be modelled, except for really old cars like the current Renault Classics.
BluntFronts 10-10-2007, 11:03 PM I would like accurate, well-detailed versions of the

Just found this page:

We want all of these in detailed 1/64 scale! :p
PWSchuh 10-11-2007, 05:57 PM Volvo 245 Turbo, of course.

Just remembering that some of this cars was already made in 1/64, like:
NSU Ro80, done by Corgi Jr. very hard to find, and not so well done
Citroen CX, the best example is from Majorette, but also done by Guisval, Mira, Norev mini jet, Yatming, Playart and Polfi Toys
Lancia Gamma in sedan version was done in a crude casting by the italian toymake Giodi
Keep the comments sending in this thread, plese, and thanks
ilikecolllectdi 10-11-2007, 06:19 PM Volvo 245 Turbo, of course.
The Volvo 245 in the 1975-79 generation was done by Majorette and Corgi Jr.
keep your comments here please, and thanks :p

Thanks for the compliment! And thanks for the wonderful link.
I, too, would love to have 1/64 models of all of those Lancias. That Flaminia Berlina and the Aurelia Spiders really caught my eye. Stunning!
Here's a neat Zagato site I found. There are only a few active links, but they are mostly cars I had not seen before.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info. I have seen pictures of the Corgi Jr. Ro80, but I found it unsatisfactory. The beauty of the Ro80 is so subtle that it would take a very serious approach to model it correctly. I think it is an amazing looking car that is still truly unique and beautiful.
I thought that there might already be some 1/64 CXs in existence; I will look up the ones you've listed. What a great car that was.
I just realized that I have a Polistil Penny version of the Lancia Flavia Zagato Coupe packed away somewhere. I've got to dig it out soon, because my few Penny cars are among my favorite vintage 1/64s.
I would also like to have a 1/64:
1990s TVR Griffith 500
plus the
TVR Chimaera
TVR Cerbera
TVR Tamora
Unfortunately, the Sagaris is a bit too much for me. I'm still trying to like it, so maybe someday...
Has anyone produced the TR8 convertible in 1/64? I couldn't find any pics online. Like many of our controversial American cars, Triumph got the TR8 right in its final year of production, and I'd love to have a nice, accurate miniature of it.

Hi Bluntfront, I find a page where a person show his modified 1/64 diecast cars, and is a pic of a Triumph TR8 convertible, here is the link:

Thanks - those are nice mods. I imagined the little Triumph in yellow as I wrote about it earlier. That one looks very good to me.

LOL - my feelings exactly!
Mmmmmm ..... T.. V.. R .......
(I was lucky enough to see one Griffith when I visited Switzerland in 1996. Rather unattractive gray-green paint, and I could only look at it for about 30 seconds because my family was rushing ahead to some other tourist attraction. Oh well, at least I saw one. Sadly, TVRs are illegal in the US.)

I would say you have very good taste in cars. I do like the front and the rear of the recent Afla SZ, but I'm not really in love with the side design.
However, I would definitely drive & own one, especially because I admire the Zagato approach so highly. I love cars that "dare to be different". Your Kyosho appears to be a fine model that is worth every penny of its price. Great pix, too.
(I still hope to own some Kyoshos someday!)

Ah yes, but that's quite a different animal. The 245 Turbo was only offered from 1981 to 1985 (intercooled in late 84 and 85). Just from a visual perspective, it has distinct trim and wheels from the non-Turbo versions.
rioredgt 10-16-2007, 05:51 AM McLaren F1!
I know that Minichamps did one in 1/64, but they are hard to find.

Thanks. :) I really do like odd and less known cars more and more, especially the ones that were produced in small series and concept cars of course. More or less everyone around me loves BMW-s, Mercedes', Audi-s, but I find them a bit too boring and ordinary... :p
Be sure to get some Kyoshos if you get the chance. I only have 1/64 scale, but they really are improving radically with each series and I can't wait for the next series. Too bad that the prices are quite high but apart from that, they can be really addictive. :D

Great Idea, I've never seen one. I didn't even know that Minichamps made 1/64 cars. Do you know, are there any more in this scale from Minichamps?

I'm not sure what Minichamps has in 1/64. I have a red one in 1/87 because I did not know that there were 1/64 versions. I have a green 1/64 coming in the mail, so I'll try to post pics of both when they arrive.
