LOL :p :p emod15_777 07-15-2007, 06:42 PM I have been approached about the electric 1/8th scales. If there are 4 of you, you can run during the electric turnout if you choose. I have no problem with that. Thanks for the new thread by the way!! 2 wheel mod sounds good to me too!! ccm399 07-15-2007, 07:21 PM Brushless LiPo is OK for Mod yes? I hope so!!! Pretty sure it is but I just want to be double sure before ordering the stuff!!! Chris badassrevo 07-15-2007, 08:03 PM Brushless LiPo is OK for Mod yes? I hope so!!! Pretty sure it is but I just want to be double sure before ordering the stuff!!! Chris Yep, that is the standard. Just do go too crazy with the motor. badassrevo 07-15-2007, 08:14 PM Ryan, Do you have a problem with the electric 1/8th running with both programs (electric &gas)? pink_sleeve 07-15-2007, 08:19 PM Brushless LiPo is OK for Mod yes? I hope so!!! Pretty sure it is but I just want to be double sure before ordering the stuff!!! Chris YES  ccm399 07-15-2007, 08:56 PM Sweet!!! ccm399 07-15-2007, 09:10 PM Yep, that is the standard. Just do go too crazy with the motor. Cool thanks Doug. I am thinking about a couple options. All are Novaks (unless Tekin comes out with their stuff soon......) I have been discussing this stuff with Jason M. a bit and here is what we came up with. 1. Novak XBR with a 8.5 motor (probably with the sintered rotor upgrade) 2. GTB/SS system with a 10.5 motor. The XBR motors are not as powerful as the others (might be the rotors not sure) so that is why I am thinking the 8.5 with that system. I can get the XBR system for about $75 less than the GTB/SS system (well with the sintered rotor upgrade it is only about $50 difference). A possible last option would be the spread spektrum GTB with a 10.5 motor. That option would be the "buy it once and be done with it approach"! Chris ccm399 07-15-2007, 09:18 PM Hmmmm. I just did the math and the GTB spread spektrum with either a 10.5 or an 8.5 is only $5 more than the GTB/SS combo!!! Might have to go that route..... I will have to research it more. ToNyyyyy 07-15-2007, 09:23 PM We just unloaded all are electric stuff so my dad can have a real motor and maybe finish a qualifier this year or another main(he won rc pro race by chance everyone flamed out) carlo71 07-15-2007, 09:35 PM might want to purchase a spare shock for him too incase of breakage.... b pink_sleeve 07-15-2007, 09:58 PM Hmmmm. I just did the math and the GTB spread spektrum with either a 10.5 or an 8.5 is only $5 more than the GTB/SS combo!!! Might have to go that route..... I will have to research it more. BETTER TO BUY IT ONCE AND BE SATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE  . ccm399 07-15-2007, 10:28 PM BETTER TO BUY IT ONCE AND BE SATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE  . That's how I'va always done stuff so I will probably spend the extra $50 on the better equipment. In the long run the extra $$$ will be worth it. What do you think for motor? 10.5, 8.5 ????? I can't buy two motors right now so it will have ot be one or the other. Maybe Santa can bring me a second one!!!! Oh, wait I think he is already bringing me the car as an early Christmas...... Hmmmm...... pink_sleeve 07-15-2007, 10:31 PM That's how I'va always done stuff so I will probably spend the extra $50 on the better equipment. In the long run the extra $$$ will be worth it. Oh, wait I think he is already bringing me the car as an early Christmas...... Hmmmm...... i ran the 13.5 in 2wheel mod and it was fine. i would say 10.5 should be perfect as that was what i plan on running but i will also get an 8.5. tires are very critical indoor ccm399 07-15-2007, 10:37 PM Where are tires NOT critical?! I know what you mean though. I am thinking the 10.5 is what I will get. I know with a 2wd buggy too much motor is really hard on lap times!!! Of course I guess that statement is about the same as the tire deal. I should be a really great learning curve! Can't wait. pink_sleeve 07-15-2007, 10:40 PM Where are tires NOT critical?! Of course I guess that statement is about the same as the tire deal. I should be a really great learning curve! Can't wait. 2wheel is fun. and everybody is very competitive pink_sleeve 07-15-2007, 10:41 PM 2wheel is never a big class though  trashedmaxx 07-15-2007, 11:52 PM It sounds like its going to be big this season. I run a 10.5 in my buggy on the outdoor tracks and its perfect. I ran the 13.5 last season at jefferson. ccm399 07-16-2007, 06:57 AM It sounds like its going to be big this season. I run a 10.5 in my buggy on the outdoor tracks and its perfect. I ran the 13.5 last season at jefferson. Hope so! cola 07-16-2007, 09:46 AM You can even go with the 13.5, Thats all Mark runs even on outdoor.LOL carlo71 07-17-2007, 10:23 PM lets get a 1/8th electric class going! Here is your B. L. truggy! http://www.gearsrc.com/gallery/albums/userpics/normal_losi-burn.jpg   pink_sleeve 07-17-2007, 10:31 PM Here is your B. L. truggy! http://www.gearsrc.com/gallery/albums/userpics/normal_losi-burn.jpg   looks like it literally smoked the competition :freak: Jo jo FRY 07-18-2007, 12:33 AM IN jefferson a 13.5 in buggy be great and like a 10.5 when theres alot of traction .. MuchoMadness 07-18-2007, 09:44 AM Chris, I ran both the 13.5 & the 8.5 in buggy last year. The lap times were close to the same. The 13.5 was definitely easier to go fast consistently, but the 8.5 was a little more fun! I would say go with the 13.5 overall, but the 10.5 will be really good after you get a handle on it. Glad to see alot of guys getting back into 2wd this year. It's really competitive and alot of fun!! Later! -Jason M. ccm399 07-18-2007, 09:04 PM Thanks Jason, (and JoJo) I should be ordering the car tomorrow. Should I have Jr get you one?! LOL! I am pretty sure I am going to go with the GTB Spread Spektrum and the SS 10.5 motor. It is a price difference of about $53 not too much when you are talking about an investment in better equipment. Not totally sure yet though. I am thinking the 10.5 because I can only buy one motor for now. So I am going for the "happy medium" motor. Should be tons-o-fun!!!!! Oh, and what do you mean "after I get a handle on it"!!!! LOL..... Might take a little while to get rid of the "1/8 scale finger"!!!!! Until next time. Chris badassrevo 07-18-2007, 09:20 PM Chris, Are you going to run the Kyosho Rb5? pink_sleeve 07-18-2007, 09:24 PM Who Will Be Running 2wheel And 4wheel This Winter badassrevo 07-18-2007, 09:32 PM I am in for 4wd, I have been collecting spare parts all summer. Go Tamiya! badassrevo 07-18-2007, 09:33 PM I am really hopeing that the electric 1/8th class will take off. ccm399 07-18-2007, 09:59 PM Chris, Are you going to run the Kyosho Rb5? I'll also run the electric 8th. pink_sleeve 07-18-2007, 11:24 PM Our clan is all about the 2wd action. I'll also run the electric 8th. i plan on not runnin truck this season. 2wheel and 4wheel for me  is that Paul guy still racing  cola 07-19-2007, 09:25 AM xxxt cr!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81351 badassrevo 07-19-2007, 09:43 AM Wow! I didn't expect that from Losi. I might have to sell my stuff and get a new one. Is there a release date yet? Torinogt1971 07-19-2007, 09:47 AM I'm always in for some 2wd Mod.......... Fantom 07-19-2007, 12:23 PM I'll run Stock or Mod 2WD. The CR Truck will probably end up being a POS. Just get a MF1. badassrevo 07-19-2007, 12:32 PM I didn't like my MF1. I have done much better with my MF2. badassrevo 07-19-2007, 12:33 PM If 2wd is a real class this year I will get a buggy. I didn't really plan on running truck anyway. I was going to focus on 4wd. MuchoMadness 07-19-2007, 02:13 PM If 2wd is a real class this year I will get a buggy. I didn't really plan on running truck anyway. I was going to focus on 4wd. Not sure what you mean by "real" class, but if you mean "are more people going to run this year", I hope so, but then the answer is only if people decide get out there and run. Get a buggy Doug (thought you already had one?), you will really like it! They are alot of fun to drive. Later, -JM badassrevo 07-19-2007, 02:29 PM I sold my B4 to get a GTB for my truck. and yes by real I meant more competition. there should be at least two heats. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
