Howdy, I used to have a rc car i built from a kit. I wore it out and it was a lot of fun. But then kids came along, house payments stuff like that. I am thinking about getting back into rc. I was just wondering if anyone out there can give me some advise on what kinda RC to purchase. Thanks.

There are many different things to consider with choosing an RC Car.
The two biggest things in my opinion are cost and usage.
What do you think you want to do with the vehicle? Do you want to race or just run for fun.
? On Road? Off Road? Drag Race? Monster Truck? Rock Climbing? Electric or Nitro?
There are SO many options avaiable to you.
If you think you just want a fun vehicle to run in the yard or where ever. Than a Monster Truck is the way to go. They are fast, tough and can go just about anywhere.
The Traxxas E/T Maxx is the best bang for your buck in my opinion. FAST, Reliable and great factory and aftermarket support.
HPI Savage and E Savage are good choices also.
Many others to choose from. Depends on your budget and what you want to do with it.
If you want to go cheap..(relatively speaking....) there are some great options also. The Traxxas Stampede and HPI Wheely King are my first two choices.
After the Monster trucks are Stadium trucks.
Too Many options to list.
ALL the manufactures have great trucks that would be fun to run and also race. Many have Ready to Run vehicles where you have to purchase very little other than the vehicle. Usually just batteries and a charger and fuel if it is a Nitro vehicle.
I would not recommend a 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive buggy if you are primarily going to run for fun. They have little ground clearance and get hung up easily. Same with an On Road Car.. Great fun to run... but limited as to where you can drive it.
Hope this helps get you started... Do some research. See what is out there now. Decide how much you can spend and most important... Have fun.
Keep us posted on what you decide to get.
