Cheddy (Land HO Raceway's Security Manager) is back home and resting comfortably... (trying to anway). The soft wrap "cast" will stay on until Monday. Once it comes off he should be able to walk a little more normally than he's able to now. He has to swing it out, forward, and then down. Sad and funny at the same time. A real trooper though. He's starting to perk up (disposition wise) this morning, as last night he was still a little dopey from his surgery. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and concern Chat Guys ! ! nd :)

The vet says "don't worry... only one in a thousand can get the dressing off" ... guess what? WE HAVE A WINNER ! ! ....

Gotta bring him back (NOW) get a new wrap, a lampshade collar so he won't do it again, and pain meds. This ought to be interesting. (poor little guy)

Good morn, ND

Cats are tough, mate. They also know what they want and can be very determined to get it, yeah? I have seen one of my cats work for 10 minutes on a pingpong ball, trying to get it up through a hole in a covered shoebox. I don't think they know that they don't have thumbs, eh!

Cheddy is going to hate you for that goofy collar deely, man. try not to laugh too hard.

Like Coach says, Cheddy will be back at it in no time. Cats heal pretty fast!

Just back from the vet. Ched is not happy with the current state of affairs at all. Has to wear his lampshade when unattended, but not if supervised closely. I explained some guys have special collections of pink slot cars and pink Redlines are among the most desireable Hot Wheels there are... well... he said he'd sleep on it (after his kitty demerol shot that is). He just kicked me out of the bedroom... said I was "harshing his buzz". nd

Had a cat with the extra didgit. Vet called it polydactylism or some such nonsense. "Gidabug" used it much like a thumb for grasping and palming things and not much ever got away from her.

ND, LOL There's nothing more degrading on a cool cat than one of those damn "Elizibethan Collars". I used to wake up after parties and wonder how I got this dumb thing around my neck and how the heck do I get it off?

One in a million? More like every cat I've ever had has riggled or gnawed it's way out of whatever manmade contraption has been attached to it. Try contact cement! LOL

Glad to hear all is as it should be and cheddy is on the mend. BTW All work at Model Murdering was halted last night... Gus decided to flop down on my workmat/cutting board and presented me a stop work order!
