Hi guys,

I'm new here, based in Australia and have been recently getting back into slot cars after a 30 year absence due to a slot car racing complex opening up locally that my two boys LOVE.

I've bought them each a car and finally managed to find the Scalextric slot car my grandmother bought for me way back in 1973/74, after MUCH searching!

It's a "Javelin C3-10" that needs (proper) rear tyres. I bought a pair of the closest ones I could find that fit last week and I'm not happy with them at all. They need to be a much bigger profile in order to keep the front end of the car down properly.
I've still got one of the original tyres (see picture), but need two obviously.

Here's the car with the incorrect tyre fitted and the correct one sitting beside:

Here's a close up of the correct tyre:

Can anyone steer me in the right direction in regard to tracking down a pair of NOS tyres for this old car?
They measure 23mm OD, 8mm wide, and have an approximately 3mm wide groove inside.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Greg

Hi Greg!

That definitely will be a tough one to find. Check Slot Car Corner's Super Tires. Or post up on Slot Car Illustrated as most the 1/32nd slot guys hang out there - one of them may be able to better tell you where to get those tires - they guy who used to own Scalextric runs that site now a days.

Hope this helps!
