View Full Version : Would you believe a so-so "Get Smart" movie trailer? chiangkaishecky 07-10-2007, 07:11 AM http://movies.msn.com/movies/movie.aspx?m=2082700 John P 07-10-2007, 07:37 AM Wouldn't it be nice if I didn't have to download and install software to watch it? :freak: Ohio_Southpaw 07-10-2007, 08:58 AM Looks good to me! Anne Hathaway as agent 99 will get me in the theater for sure. ChrisW 07-10-2007, 09:25 AM Wasn't Anne Hathaway the secretary on "Beverly Hillbillies? Oh well, whatever floats your boat... F91 07-10-2007, 09:25 AM Steve Carell is a very funny guy. Who knows? Edit- Whoa!!! Azumat Bogatev- most venerable producer in new movie film!!! The Rock!! Oscar winner Alan Arkin, who was friggin' hilarious in "Little Miss Sunshine". Anne Hathaway? It's gotta be good, right? Carson Dyle 07-10-2007, 09:52 AM I like Carell, but not even he could save Evan Almighty from being the costliest bomb in the history of film comedy. For Carell's sake I hope Smart fares better (it couldn't fare much worse). Atlantis 07-10-2007, 10:47 AM Wasn't Anne Hathaway the secretary on "Beverly Hillbillies? Oh well, whatever floats your boat... Jane Hathaway, IIRC. The Batman 07-10-2007, 11:47 AM That trailer wasn't half bad. I can see them carrying the torch for Don Adams. One thing that was difficult to determine from the clip, though... I couldn't tell if Carell would be speaking with Don Adams' trademark William Powell caricatured voice? - GJS digger1 07-10-2007, 12:01 PM Wouldn't it be nice if I didn't have to download and install software to watch it? :freak: Lemme guess...Quicktime? I h8 Quicktime. drewid142 07-10-2007, 12:05 PM I'll look forward to Carell's delivery of a few classic lines... "We'd better use the cone of silence" "would you believe..." And if they have a Siegfried... "Dis ees Kaos!... We don't (raspberry) here!" oh... who are we kidding... there's certain classics that cannot be improved... although they can be exploited... I'll go see it though... and expecting so little, I may be pleasantly surprised. chiangkaishecky 07-10-2007, 12:32 PM And if they have a Siegfried... "Dis ees Kaos!... We don't (raspberry) here!" Apparently, Terence Stamp ... but I can't imagine his performance being anywhere near as fun as Kopell's. There's a Larabee and Shtarker(sp) [the Borat guy F91 is alluding to] at IMDB too. PhilipMarlowe 07-10-2007, 02:03 PM There's a Larabee and Shtarker(sp) [the Borat guy F91 is alluding to] at IMDB too. I certainly hope we see less of him than we did in the Borat movie. John P 07-10-2007, 03:04 PM Lemme guess...Quicktime? I h8 Quicktime. It told me I have to download Firefox! :freak: F91 07-10-2007, 06:06 PM " My mustache still smells of your *&^%$#$#!" Jim NCC1701A 07-10-2007, 09:48 PM It told me I have to download Firefox! :freak: A Micros*** site is telling you to download a competing browser?!? DinoMike 07-10-2007, 09:53 PM Don't get your hopes up about this film.... *SPOILER ALERT * . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. evidently, they've changed Max's personality... background... pretty much everything. Siegfried has NONE of his classic lines or personality... more of a "generic villain", I've read. It's another case of "Let's take a popular classic franchise and change EVERYTHING about it but the name!" F91 07-10-2007, 10:06 PM Azumat- http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0205772/ scotpens 07-11-2007, 12:57 AM Why can't I read the "spoiler" text? No matter what I highlight or copy and paste it into, I just get a bunch of dots! DinoMike 07-11-2007, 09:06 AM Why can't I read the "spoiler" text? No matter what I highlight or copy and paste it into, I just get a bunch of dots! Those were just spacers.... :) I don't know how to do the "hidden text" stuff. Granted, there wasn't really much after the dots (if anything) to warrant the tag... but I know some people don't wanna know ANYTHING about a film before they see it.... so I obliged. :) SteveR 07-11-2007, 10:53 AM I'm on Safari with Quicktime and had no troubles ... until the Live Earth clip took over at :14. Huh? John P 07-11-2007, 10:44 PM Works at home, but not at work. Yep, that was, indeed, a so-so trailer. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
