hey,
My craftsman quit on me about two weeks ago. I cleaned the carburator,
changed the plug, added new fuel. When i finished it would run and sounded
fine. I can crank the mower on one pull and it takes a bit to warm up, then
sound like a charm. However when i move it it sputters, i stop it idles back,
i move it again and it sputters and may die. Then it takes 7 or more times of
pulling and priming. It may run for a bit and actually mow grass but
then go through the same process all over again.
Any suggestions?

thanks.

You say you added new fuel. Did you flush the fuel tank? You should have dropped the fuel bowl as well. It sounds to me like contaminated fuel.
