Time to start thinking of the Stateline race. Bring your step pins and some big motor for this one.

Also Friday night bring your oval car and do some left only racing. I know I'll have my GT there again this year for some Friday night fun.

lol i think i was off about every jump at one point or another and i didnt break anything. most tracks i have raced at (besides summits removal of the double x over they ended up having a tripple roll over ) you had to time and set up your jumps. every track i have ever raced at from '85 till now people break parts.

don't know what I want to run. gt or mf1 on the oval. The oval with the mf1 last year was a blast. might have to go gt this time around. can't wait. have yet to be disappointed with a layout

Sorry State Buddy, but I was there on Saturday. The track is great. The track is made of clay which means it's very hard, most MARS tracks are regular dirt and are forgiving. I gave my thought in another thread and you gave me 'heres the shovels and rakes'. If it wasn't hard clay then maybe I would. I was just giving feed back. The track is huge, fun and yet trickey. But from a lot of people that did race the track this past weekend, including myself. The one jump on the back side is not 1/10 scale friendly. Just thought you might want some feed back from racers. Also the track held up great!!!! I don't think I seen anyone fix anything throughout the day.

i wouldnt call that track very hard pack compaired to the tracks just to the south which are both all clay where you run slicks or can run bk bars. only dirt you get on your vehicle might be dust. any jump can be as friendly or unfriendly as you want to make it. if others are clearing the jumps and others navigate it without a problem maybe some were using the wrong tactic. watching the a mains everyone that was upfront did so running flawlessly because they knew where to make their jumps and when they werent where they needed to be they simply drove or just cleared what they needed to to be safe. no part of that track will your car get stuck or do you have to make the spectacular jump to get through. some did and could do it whick logically isnt any different than a track with quad jumps some will go gung ho and take that chance others will double double or triple single.. if alot of guys are landing it it can be done and id bet those who cant usually change up what they do so they run as fast as they can without wrecking and breaking.....

ok sorry the way i read the post it sounded like you were not here. i welcome feedback. it is more geared to gas because thats whats been showing up to race every week i think we have only had two heats of elet. race this year so far before this weekend. were going to work on the table in the back the next two weeks it will be different when you come back. thanks and once again sorry.

e-towne, you talk alot smack for somebody who's always watching the a-main, instead of racing in it! maybe you should take your little rock-crawler and go play in the hills by yourself!!

This track IS a change of pace for alot of people!! Living in MI you dont get too many hard packed tracks, and MOST of us are used to running on tracks like litchfeild and jones. Made from topsoil and local aggregates. Running on tracks like that set-up isnt as critical as it is on hard pack because you have loose loamy stuff in the corners and packed smooth straights. So a very neutral set up is preferred. But running on hard pack is more like running on carpet in the manner that you need to have your set-up dialed to maintain speed in the corners. as for the jumps that you guys are talking about, every jump has a sweet spot on the approach side, so its just about finding it, or playing it safe and rolling the larger jumps.I am not worried about the jumps with my 1/10 scale , but with the minis this could get to be VERY entertaining. I am just looking forward to having a smooth enough straight where I can actually use ALL the motor I have in that little truck!!I just hope there are more than 2 of us in the class.

ronald i will be running a Mini-inferno ST with a direct drive KM-RC chassis, tekin 6800 brushless , and elite 8 cell 1500 batteries. it will seriously do 50+ mph geared for off road. so if there is a mini -class at the oval fri. we will have some fun!!

I just ran gas truck at stateline yesterday. That place is awesome and they are lucky to have such a facility.

The surface is somewhat hard, but not like concrete hard. I liked the dirt alot. Tires that seemed popular in 1/10 gas truck were ifmar studs and panther studs. I used panthers and they worked great.

Track has a couple smaller doubles in the middle. They are tricky if you don't line up right as it is at a slight angle to the stand. So you can run into the tube if you don't line up right. Alot of guys were just rolling them. There's a big triple in front of the drivers stand that 1/10 guys double singled easily. I highly doubt 1/10 anything but a wheeler could triple it and not really worth trying. The big jump on the backside was very easily doubled then up on to the table top. Only problem I would think somebody could have with making it is it to is at a slight angle so you can end up jumping off the tube. All you have to do is line up properly and it is not a problem. And making the double is not a problem either. I guess maybe for stock class, but I think they should make it as well.

The straight is longer than it looks. Made my little engine feel a bit slow. So you'll have plenty of space to open up your mods : ) Laptimes for 1/10 gas truck was
mid to high 30's for the a-main guys, and low to mid 40's for b-main guys. I had no issue with breaking parts and didn't see to many others that did either.
You guys are going to love the place, I know I wish I could go there with my wheeler and T4 but not able to so soon.
