Got an old monster/scifi movie I've wanted to I.D. for years. Looked on Google for sites devoted to ID'ing old flicks but, to my surprise, didn't see any. Anyone want to give it a shot?

Griffworks 07-03-2007, 08:32 PM Why don't you just post a description of what you can remember? Ohio_Southpaw 07-03-2007, 09:16 PM Try putting in scenes/characters you remember at IMDB. That is how I was able to learn the name of the Mud Monster movie that scared the refuse out of me as a child. "The World Beyond" frankenstyrene 07-03-2007, 09:52 PM Why don't you just post a description of what you can remember? Sorry, that's what I meant, not for someone to go track it down for me. :) Okay: Late '60s, very early '70s. Sci-Fi. Color (I think). Possibly an Oriental production...Japanese, Philippino, no idea. Could be Italian for all I know, but I know it was foreign-lookin'. Clearly recall some "space vampire" (?) chick and her henchman - freaky bald guy in shades - who went around snatching organs (again: I think). Seem to recall them getting a boxer or guy at the gym...they'd like shrink you down or something weird. Also recall clearly a scene in a lab of some sort with lungs being kept alive under a glass dome. Bizarre flu/fever dream of a six year old kid? LSD spiked municipal water supply? Sounds like it, I know. But I saw it on Chicago area UHF, circa '73 or so, along with QUEEN OF BLOOD and BRAIN OF BLOOD and BEAST OF BLOOD...almost like Al Adamson had his own danged network on channel 44. And about two years ago, some guy at a website I forget told me the name of it with a "Hah! That all you got?" tone...and my PC crashed and I lost it all. That's all I got. Ring any bells? OSP: will try IMDB... frankenstyrene 07-03-2007, 10:45 PM Checked IMDB. ASTRO-ZOMBIES is...similar...the organ thing and the zombie is bald and kinda wears shades...kinda...not sure. Maybe the years have smashed more than one cheap flick together in my memory banks. Ah well. Krel 07-04-2007, 10:57 AM It is an Italian movie that was part of a series of three or four films. It's American name is "Wild, Wild Planet". I know this because I watched it on TCM a few months back. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059914/ David. scotpens 07-04-2007, 11:23 AM Yeah, sounds like Wild Wild Planet (I Criminali della Galassia) to me. A fun, campy hunk of Italian cheese directed by Antonio Margheriti, who sometimes used the pseudonym "Anthony Dawson." frankenstyrene 07-04-2007, 11:30 AM You boys nailed it dead, and I thank ye. More than most would probably want to know is found here (http://www.badmovies.org/movies/wildplanet/index.html) Cheeze or not, that's one heckuva freakshow creepout to a five year old. :freak: Griffworks 07-04-2007, 11:37 AM Oooh! Sounds like a kewel movie to me! I like movies along these lines, and with extra cheeze! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
