I have been a supporter of the Matchbox Collector's Community for years. Unfortunately, I did not receive my raffle prize that I won last September, 2006.
I have sent multiple Private Messages only to receive a new story each time. Now he says that the packages were shipped months ago but without any tracking. I can understand if one box got lost but multiple boxes?
I also received a Private Message from another MCCH member that they had not received their prize. They also admits that he "flat out lost" another person's winnings.
It is with great regret that I have to warn people that something is amiss.

You actually won a raffle...........well thats great to hear it was an honest draw.In the past 5 years I have sent or received over 200 packages of cars, 100% delivered safely although 3 were VERY slow(that I sent) and 2 damaged(no big deal) -if the package is correctly addressed in waterproof ink it always arrives, whatever country its coming from in my experience.
I never take part in raffles, because if I want to support a charity i will do it directly. I hope your lost prize was not anything really hard to replace or anything that you really wanted.
I have noticed that as the membership grows ever larger on MCCH, the postings get less entertaining on the bigger forums, and some old hands even post ´we have already discussed this on an old thread´ which is very boring for folks who want to discuss something now rather than view old threads. That why this forum here is fun, its like a small club with the same folks contributing, although Mountain and Junkman seem to be away enjoying their summer offline...........hopefully to return in the fall with some quality postings....

Doesn't surprise me at all........
My comments above and on my previous thread on Hobby Talk about embossed tyres have offended the moderators at MCCH consequently I have been BANNED from posting on MCCH.
HOBBY TALK is viewed with enjoyment and curiousity by many MCCH members, including the moderator who was offended by my post above.
As this is the only forum open to me, I must first extend my sincerest apologies to everybody at MCCH who has been personally offended by any of my posts. It has never been my intention to offend or upset or embarrass anybody, nor to infringe on the copyrights of their photographs. Every single post I have ever made is intended to bring whatever knowledge I have, good humour and a positive attitude/spin on the topic being discussed.
I have deleted the 7 offensive photographs from my photobucket account.I have shared many more than 7 photographs taken by Mountain on MCCH postings, ignorant of the fact that a large number of active posting MCCH members also view this forum without posting  I now know today that both Mountain & Junkman have also been excluded from posting on MCCH, I dont even know their real names but I judge folks online by their postings and not by any other critieria, and I hope that anybody looking at this forum has enjoyed reading our posts.
The threads on MCCH are not the same as on Hobby Talk because we have different contributers even if the subject matter is sometimes the same.I greatly enjoy discussing new finds and splitting hairs over variations, something I have done on weekly on MCCH.I also enjoy being grateful for my childhood toys which we do really well here on Hobby Talk by simply enjoying the early Superfasts in detail with the aid of Mountain & Junkmans superb photographs(not available on MCCH or should I say discussed before I joined MCCH :dude: NO OFFENCE INTENDED to anybody, I just want to give everybody a laugh while they read this longwinded post!)
I have referred on Hobby Talk, to nameless MCCH members as being JADED. This is specifically because of a post ´We have discussed this on old thread´ in reply to my enquiry. Perhaps the person making the comment was stressed at the time, we all have ups and downs, its part of being human.
Somebody that was feeling positive, if they remembered an old thread, would surely share their knowledge by posting a link to the thread rather putting me down SO THAT THE WHOLE COMMUNITY interested viewing the thread doesnt have to resort to the search engine (couldnt find it :( hence my Jaded post a few days later
I dont usually sign my name to any posts because its not about personalities, its all about TOYS.But I will sign my name here because this post a clash between my euro culture and the good guys at MCCH, who try their best but sometimes allow personality politics to obscure the whole community´s enlightenment. I stand by all 1400 posts that I made on MCCH and all 200 on Hobby talk, all made from the best knowledge I have available in good humour to hopefully give readers more enjoyment of their toys while I enjoy my toys. MCCH is a private club that I have enjoyed being a member of for 18 months, I will miss it but hey life goes on and there are plenty of new members out there to make some posts.......
THANKYOU ALL FOR READING, cheers Mick

Well, you are in a very good club - those banned from MCCH - and shouldn't let it bother you. I have not even peeked in to see what was going on over there in a year or two... don't really miss it.
Please feel free to post old subjects as new and post away with the pictures you want to, I know I enjoy them immensely.
Some people have too much time on their hands, are waaaay too sensitive and also have a bit of a Napolean complex to actually be able to deal with the day to day life it seems
Enough of this crap anyway, lats talk about Matchbox!
