One of the appealing features of Auto World's release of the '71 Camaro was that it was offered in a number other than "3" which Aurora produced thousands of.

Now, we have 4 different Auto World Camaros all sharing the number 8. Personally, it would seem that differently numbered cars would not only make each release more appealing but would also be desirable for those who race the cars.

The International Race of Champions (IROC) from the early 1970s could be recreated on 4 lane tracks nationwide had Auto World numbered these Camaros individually.

I was gong to post this same subject when I got a chance today. You beat me to it.

I was thinking the same thing about the Camaro T/As and the Chaparrals and any other car with a number. I also think each different color car have a different number.

Welcome to the forum Jim.

I have a lime green #8 and found it refreshing after a lifetime of threes. :p

Some one straighten me out please. Werent we always told that they used open numbers as opposed to closed loop numbers due to stenciling/masking simplicity.

Do they use a new process now? Typically IR confused.
