I bought one and sold it as soon as I found that out. Actually, I called Futaba to find out how to turn the feature on because I couldn't find the setting in the manual and they said it doesn't have that feature. Mayhem 07-03-2007, 12:21 AM It doesnt need one. The charge is so clean that it doesnt bounce up and down like the dirty charges on other equipment that cause false peaks.. This is by far the best charger on the market IMO, and would buy another in a heartbeat if I could find one. And if you were false peaking you could have adjusted the delta peak in .001 increments instead of the .01 increments that ruin your cells on other chargers.... ta_man 07-03-2007, 11:18 PM It doesnt need one. And if you were false peaking you could have adjusted the delta peak in .001 increments instead of the .01 increments that ruin your cells on other chargers.... I couldn't. It did need a long lockout for the packs I wanted to charge with it. The reason I bought it to begin with is because it was a charger with an internal DC to DC converter so that it could charge a pack that had a higher peak voltage than the input voltage. I run outdoors and use a marine 12V battery to charge my packs. By the end of the day, the voltage of the marine battery starts to fall off. This charger was purchased to charge spec packs that have a U-shapped charge curve and a peak at 11+ volts (a Tekin just gives up and a Turbo35 backs down the charge rate). With the Futaba, I would have had to sit there and keep hitting start every few seconds for the first 5-10 minutes of the charge cycle. I sold it and bought a Triton (also has an internal DC-DC converter) and that does the job just fine. ovalrc 07-06-2007, 10:21 AM I agree with Mayhem, best charger I have ever used. I have two and love them. sportpak 07-06-2007, 04:58 PM The way I understand this thread, bushy wants to buy one. What's with the debate fellas? :hat: ovalrc 07-06-2007, 08:29 PM No debate, letting Bushy know he's making an excellent choice, putting his mind at ease after someone chimed in with negative input. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
