I have a FT TC3 with a MM7700 system and am looking to switch to Lipo packs. Just wondering if anyone has any recomendations on good and or less expensive Lipo packs?

Go to cheapbatterpacks.com . I bought some of the 3600 polyquest paks in the specials section they are 28 bucks and are 12c rated. I tested them with a hacker 6 turn and they worked great. Better yet the 3s 3600 pak will really light it up. There is some video on you-tube of the 7700 on 3s . It is not recommended but it is superfast.

Most of the modified racers around here are either using MaxAmps 5000 or 6000's, or Apogee 3800's. Both the Apogee and the MaxAmps batteries have plenty of punch. I don't think I'd feel very safe with a pack only rated at 12C. Most of the time, you get (approximately) what you paid for. Someone bought one of the Mamba Max 7700 systems from a local hobby store for his truck, and an Integy (I think) battery, and had very poor performance (the battery later went "poof"). Said it was barely faster than a stock motor, while a 4200NiMh would pull wheelies.
