Come on down, it is a blast!!
jr3gone8 06-25-2007, 08:25 PM Boy ill tell ya what Jeff I think im going to get a few guys togather and come down from Erie,Pa. that looks like a blast.
badassrevo 06-25-2007, 08:54 PM What time do you run on Sunday? Do you have a problem with an electric 1/8th buggy running with the nitro cars?
ercbf 06-25-2007, 10:20 PM The Hobby shop opens at 10 am, racing usually begins around noon. The place is a blast. I don't think there would be any oppostion to the electric cars, there are some down there. Jeff, the owner is really flexible.
Racer-Ecks 06-26-2007, 02:54 AM The track sure was hookin up!! I think it's the best one they have ever laid out. Nice video's Pittsburgh guys!!
Tudogs 06-26-2007, 06:47 AM Have you been running MT class or are they grouped in with the Truggies?

Nice looking track. I see you also run an oval. When do you run it and what classes do you run on it?
Thanks,
Dale
ercbf 06-26-2007, 04:30 PM Tudogs--MT runs in its own class, which down there is very popular, usually they have to run 2 heats.
BD--any class can run the oval, they are all group together, I have noticed that mostly the monster trucks run it.
Racer-ecks---Thank you, they turned out better than I thought. I am going to try to tape as much as I can in the next couple of weeks. That was done with my digital camera- it can only hold 22 mins of vid with the current card. AND YES, the track was great for the Mains!! Can't wait until next weekend.

briano_72 06-27-2007, 03:06 PM eric, you need jefff to get on here, or cant he figure it out ?? new track layout looks pretty good jeff, i started watching the vids and started yelling you didnt change anything !! after about 1/2 lap i seen what ya did, pretty cool, but looks like the front straight ( starting in the back ) is still kinda long, you trying to clear out some motors outta the case ?? dunno if and when ill be back, in dying to, but i got a lotta stuff going on this summer. and all i got left is the 18ss for off road and my carpet cars.

We(pittsburgh guys) have talked to jeff about the layout. My biggest gripe is the long circle around--you aint kiddin about the motor issue. He is talking about changing the layout so the the huge sweepers are not an issue. My buddy and I think if he put a sort of keyhole at the end of the straight away after the drivers stand in the turn, with some technical areas would be great and break up that long run around the track.
ercbf 06-30-2007, 06:47 PM RACING tomorrow!!!! Starting usually around 12. Supposed to be 73 degrees and sunny. 44% humidity max. If you are in the neighborhood, come on down!!!!
ercbf 07-13-2007, 10:42 PM Brown's is changing their track layout by this weekend. Jeff is getting rid of that long oval, and is breaking it up. There should be some new pics of the track up after this weekend.
badassrevo 07-13-2007, 10:44 PM I will have to come down and check it out soon.
ercbf 07-13-2007, 11:18 PM Great, hope to see ya there. A new point series begins(weather permitting) July 29, eight weeks, but only have to race 4 weeks to qualify for trophies
ercbf 07-16-2007, 05:36 PM Just to let everyone know, Jeff Brown has changed the layout of the track down at Brown's. It is fantastic. The track is a big improvement of what it has been. The poit series is almost done--one week left, however, a new series starts July 29, 2007(weather permitting). If you want to see a vid of the track, here is a link to the A Main of truggy yesterday. http://ercbf.blip.tv/file/304331/ or go to his website for more vids. www.brownshobbyshop.com
briano_72 07-16-2007, 06:50 PM is that the only class racing is truggy ?? its the only results posted on the site. just wondering who all is still showing up there, tell jeff i said the new track layout looks great !!
badassrevo 07-16-2007, 06:54 PM What are the lap times and how long are the 1/8th buggy mains?

NO, sorry, right now we are racing truggy, buggy, 1/18th scale, 2wd, and monster truck, and also an oval. The total results are not posted yet due to the fact that the website right now is getting a minor facelift. The videos are ones that I had taped with my camera because those are the races I run. The videos started out as a thing for me, and I posted them to Jeff's site to give people a view of the place.
ercbf 07-16-2007, 07:18 PM What are the lap times and how long are the 1/8th buggy mains?
Right now a the best lap time is in the 40 sec range. The mains are 5 mins long. with 2 qualifiers for each class. He is also building another track on the other side of the drivers stand for oval and smaller scale cars(dirt). This will enable one track to be watered, while the other is being raced on. This will also aid to move the races with hardly any lag time, accompanying more racers to show up. right now the average class, aside from 2wd and 1/18th has approx 10 to 11 cars racing in a day. The goal is to peak interest and get more down. He is also toying with the iidea of longer mains.
MUSTANG 07-16-2007, 11:48 PM All I can say is Browns is a blast. I can't wait till Sunday. Just started racing dirt this summer, already loving it. S-man....you really impressed me in the MONSTER trucks. YOU WERE DRIVING IT !!! Big difference between carpet and dirt.. Some day I will be as fast as you !!! See everyone Sunday...
MUSTANG 07-16-2007, 11:50 PM DELBERT .......you've got to come down...Track is awesome....gas and electric....give me a call.. bring GOOGs with you.
ercbf 07-17-2007, 02:14 AM Glad you had fun Mustang. You are right, it is a blast. Not only is racing down there fun, but Jeff will bend over backwards to help you, plus, the people who race are friendly and are willing to help anyone. btw, who is s-man, or should I say, what was he driving?
Racer-Ecks 07-18-2007, 02:31 AM No kidding!! The new lay out is so sweet. I love the fact that were not running taper pins, it's true off road. I think the small track is a great idea. The 1/10 and 1/18 need something a little less gnarly than the big circuit and hopefully we'll get more out for 2-wheel drive and electrics. From what I have heared, a few more guys have bought some 1/10 scales so come out and race. What ever they build down there, it's gonna be big fun!! And as you said ercbf, it will speed thing up alot more, so we can all race more.

I am really looking forward to the other track being built. I really want to go to a longer main. I would love to run one of thoses 1/18th scales, they look like they could be a lot of fun.
MUSTANG 07-19-2007, 09:49 PM Two wheel drive class should be a sight to see. Rumor has it, the Cadiz kid is going Mamba to the wall. I guess I will have to pull out the B-3 from the dust pile and race some electric. Good Luck to all...
S-Man (shawn) ...I want a rematch in Monster truck....
Hyperdude 07-20-2007, 06:13 PM The points race in most of the classes is very close. Even if you aren't going to race, come on down to watch. Should be a great day of racing!!!!!!

ercbf 08-17-2007, 10:57 PM The second track at brown's is now built. They are running oval on it for now, soon, I believe 2wd will be run on it also.
briano_72 08-17-2007, 10:58 PM jeff dont mess around !! is it behind the drivers stand ? you got any pics ?
ercbf 08-18-2007, 10:13 PM Yes it is on the other side of the stand, he cleared all the trees out. I unfortunately don't have any pics of it right now. The soonest I will be able to post on his site will be after next Sunday.

What's wrong with Brown's web site can't access it ? :freak:
briano_72 12-30-2007, 04:48 PM dont think anyone has really been keeping up with it for about a year now.
Scott54 12-30-2007, 08:37 PM Do you guys have an indoor dirt track?
briano_72 12-30-2007, 08:40 PM there is an indoor carpet track, he got 47 cars last night he told me !! 5 bucks, you bring as many cars as you got and run em !! not 5 bucks for each car, 5 bucks for everycar you got !!!
KyLayfield 01-02-2008, 05:18 PM Are you guys planning on running outdoors weekly this summer? I'm only 2 hours away and looking for a place to race. Thanks -Ky
briano_72 01-02-2008, 11:41 PM i would say yes, hes been running every year since hes been open, and he keeps making the place better and better !! he got 2 main tracks now, i aint seen the 2nd one yet, but he told me its a smaller oval, i guess aimed towards the 1/10 staduim and 1/18 croud.
