What's next for 1 Badd Ride after the Stars and Stripes?
New castings (I need a Shelby Roadster Concept from 2004 auto show to pair with the GR-1)?
New paint schemes for current castings? How about realistic racing liveries?
JCswoosher2 06-24-2007, 01:49 PM Hopefully new castings. because they cant make another paint scheme. got to start providing.
1969 Camaro
4th Gen Camaro
04-06 GTO
Firebird
Concept Camaro
Concept Challenger

Quantum 06-25-2007, 04:19 PM 1BR seems to be stagnating;I thought for sure we'd be seeing lots of new stuff by now. DOn't get me wrong - the Stars & Stripes stuff is very cool, but....
JCswoosher2 06-26-2007, 08:15 PM They would have to be playing the marketing strategy of "If we dont make alot then they will buy what we have". Because thats the only strategic move i see out of them. Great product, But a great product never made it if it was never pushed.
DiecastKrazy 07-18-2007, 10:27 PM hell yeah .. HEY 1 BADD RIDE .. IF YOUR READING THIS .. YOU SERIOUSLY NEED TO MAKE MORE CARS THAN THE SAME ONES YALL HAVE .. THEM STARS AND STRIPES ARE GETTING JUST A LITTLE OLD OUT IN MY AREA NOW . thaks :) ;)
A new Target had the same cars (Ford GT, 60s Mustang etc) painted like Nascars from 10 years ago:(
Been there done that.
Step it up Boys or Join the ranks of Foose, Muscle Machines and Ertl etc.

Hey Jeff !!!
Sorry that you apparently dont like NASCAR .. But i my friend AM a fan of the sport and some of the drivers they came out with and i WILL be buying some of these . So the way i see your comment ... DONT LIKE THEM .... DONT BUY THEM !!
GO-GTO 08-07-2007, 06:19 PM I saw some of those NASCAR painted 1BRs. What I didn't like was that they jacked up the price a couple of extra dollars, so I had to pass on them.
Quantum 08-13-2007, 11:13 AM I found the 2 Ford GT NASCARs this past weekend - too nice to pass up, even though they were 4.99 each. :drunk:
JasonZ 08-13-2007, 01:38 PM I passed on them too, Id rather get something else
You are correct...and I didn't. However, you can not honestly tell me that you enjoy picking up the SAME castings over and over and over again. I like their Trucks series though...does that help?
I will pick them up on clearance for the wheels...which are awesome.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but yes; especially if I can get a better color scheme out of it. For example, I bought one of the 1BR 67 Mustangs in blue, but if they offered it in dark gray with black stripes I'd grab one in a heartbeat.
Hi Spencer,
The stock ones are quite nice...but too big for the rest of my small car collection...unfortunate as I would have liked to add the Mustang, Charger and GT-40 to the stable.
Cheers,
Jeff
spencer1984 08-17-2007, 10:13 AM Now that you mention it, I bet we're talking about two different things. I collect the 1/24 series, which has had far fewer repaints than the 1/64 cars. So I'm sure there's less burnout with the bigger scales than there has been with the smaller scales.
markkaz 09-10-2007, 02:33 AM I believe that the licensing fees for NASCAR are quite high. That would explain a higher sticker price.
As for getting companies to invest in new tools/models, that will be difficult in the current diecast market.
JCswoosher2 10-07-2007, 09:01 AM I dont even look at the NASCAR cars. Not my kind of think. maybe when they start getting big names. Id rather see more stock cars than Nascar and stars and stripes cars.

These two lines above sum it all up. NASCAR saw a whole lotta $$$$$ and made 1BR pay for it, since most other NASCAR diecast stuff sells pretty well, I'm sure they figured the 1BR ones would do well too.
As for new castings, I doubt they could afford to make any new tools/dies/pay licensing fees etc.... in their current situation. From what I've seen lately, I would bet 1BR isn't around for much longer, just in my IMO
JCswoosher2 10-09-2007, 07:33 PM so much potential but i dont see a effort to use it. such as starting a online store. WHY NOT?? they seem to care less
