Two recent releases from Auto Art - the #1 from the 1970 Daytona 24 Hours & the #3 from the 1971 Sebring 12 Hours.

The Gulf / Wyer #1 finished second behind the sister #2. It was driven by Redman / Siffert.

In the 1971 Sebring 12 Hours the #1 works Martini entry came home first - drivers being Elford / Larrousse.

It's interesting to see Goodyear Eagle tires on the Gulf car, the Eagle name wasn't used at the time the car raced. Auto Art must have used current photos of the car for reference. It probably raced with Firestone tires .

You are right of course, www.racingsportscars.com has pics of the cars - the lettering on the tyres is indistinct, but, Firestone can be made out.

Excellent model regardless of tire markings, I saw the Martini 917 at the Rennsport reunion at Lime Rock several years ago, I was amazed at how small the car is.
