New to R/C, I like the T 4 & The Rustler. (I want to go electric.) I will be using my yard as my track, I have 2 acres lots of trees, bumps & dirt. The Bashing quality of the Rustler sounds good, but I think the t4 might get around those trees a little better, I don't mind working on things but I don't want something that will fall apart either, I think 23 to 25 mph would be pretty fast around my yard. can anyone tell me the top speed of a stock t4.

Hello,
I see you're having a tough choice betwwen 2 trucks.I have both the rustler and the T4.I think the rustler would be a good yard basher but the T4 would turn better.The rustler is very tough and parts are a dime a dozen.As for the T4,it's more of a racing truck which I race.I tried racing the rustler but it wasn't very competitive with the T3,T4 or Losi.As for speed,I'm not too sure what the t4 does.I'd guess that both trucks go around 20 to 25mph depending on your motor.I would say as for the most maintance it would all depend how much you break.I've had my rustler xl-5 for about a year and things are just starting to break.As for the t4,I just got it this past Sunday and haven't broke yet.I hope I was some help.Good luck on your choice.

That is a great comparison.......I started offroad racing with a Rusty then bought a T4....If you plan on racing in the future go ahead and get the T4 and retro fit the RPM front arms and bulkhead for the GT2 (it requires GT2 outer hinge pins) and the only real weak spot on the truck is eliminated for backyard bashing....

And speed co$t$ money.......How fa$t do you want to go?? A brushless system with a LiPo battery and high gearing with get you around 35 mph or better.........it's all up to you for that decision :)

T4=racing but can still have fun bashing
Rustler=bashing nothing more

Thank's for the reply Guy's , think I'm leaning toward the t4,and the front arms & the bulkhead sound like a plan, the t4 just sounds like it handles better, if anyone has any more input I would love to hear those also, Thank's again for your help.
